QVC-Be better than this

I’ve shopped at QVC for well over 30 years. I buy all of my clothing and shoes on this site. I even visited QVC a couple of years ago at the Foodie Fest, and met some of the nicest hosts. I’m starting with this because my overall QVC opinion is a good one.
Yes, I’ve had some disappointing things happen. Sent wrong items, long wait times. Some bad products. This week, I’m giving up. I purchased a new pair of Sketchers sandals. ( I’ve probably purchased at least 10 pairs of Skechers from QVC). They came in a generic/smashed box that had been shipped in a bag. No shoe inserts like “new” Skechers- and worst of all, the bottoms of the shoes were dirty. There was NO packing slip, and of course no return label. So, I called customer service. She said they would mail a return label since my printer is broken, and it would take up to 10 days. Here’s my point to QVC. Amazon has the same sandals. Cheaper- with free shipping. They refund you as soon as they are scanned at the post office. I’ve never gotten used or dirty shoes from Amazon. They are your competition, and they’re winning. It’s the truth.

If you had gone online instead of calling and started your return under "returns made easy" you would have received a QR code which functions the same way as Amazon's. You can then just show it at the UPS store and they address it from there. I've gotten my refunds within a day under that process.

Since I assume you're returning them as damaged, you would need to call after the fact to get the shipping fees refunded too.

Also keep in mind that Amazon Prime is now $139.99 for the year.

@Tori3569 However what we save on shipping and return fees makes it worth it. And we get one of the Streaming Platforms free.

@Tori3569 If you order a decent amount from QVC during the year $140 for s/h would not go very far. We order a fair amount from Amazon, always quick free shipping and other perks for being a Prime subscriber. Well worth it to us and something QVC should have done years ago.

@Tori3569 Perfect response. I very rarely purchase anything from Amazon and only if I can't find what I'm looking for elsewhere. I would not pay $140 to shop there.

@Group 5 minus 1 Though I rarely order from Amazon, I get free shipping if I spend $35. I guess if you are one who makes a lot of returns it may pay off for you. I would find no incentive to pay $140 to shop on a web site.

@kaydee50 In over thirty years shopping here I have made maybe two returns. Not even close to $140 a year in s/h.

That's truly amazing that you shopped for 30 years without a problem? They haven't provided return labels for quite some time now. Amazon has failed their promises as far as shipping. But if you feel they provide better service for you why didn't you purchase the Skechers from them?

I don't use Amazon Prime and get package in 2 days. What I've spent in shipping doesn't

come close to a yearly subscription.

I too have received Q shoes in BAGS w a dented shoe. The last pair I ordered was a size

6, my normal size. Those said 6 but were larger. What a mess!

@kaydee50 If QVC started charging $140 to shop on their site I would not be shopping here. If the Q started charging as Amazon does and you have Prime you would be paying $280 just to shop. No thanks. As far as I know, Amazon is the only company charging a fee to shop.

We have been Prime members for years. We get 4 or 5 Amazon deliveries a week. Clothing, books, toiletries, large planters, food and vitamins. We also purchased large, raised planters delivered right to our backyard .Our membership more than pays for itself.

Just today, my husband got a book and I got a new pair of Sloggers for working in the garden. They were ordered on Tuesday, can't beat it. It also saves gas since I don't have to run to the store every time we need something. We do occasionally have a return, but they are easy peasy at our local Whole Foods store.

Lastly, we use a credit card (I think it's Chase) where we get 5% back on every Amazon and Foods purchase, so it helps overall.

@Tori3569, I save more than that in free books alone. In addition, free shipping, fast delivery and other Prime perks makes the cost more than reasonable.

@Blondie59 Wow, guess for heavy shoppers like you it may be worth it. I got a $200 Amazon gift card for Christmas and other than buying batteries and a pair of knitting needles, I've yet to find anything to purchase.

In December I ordered 4 pairs of sweatpants for my Husband from Amazon.

He really likes them. A couple weeks ago i noticed they were at a lower sale price. so I ordered 3 more pairs. ONLY one pair was Brand New and the other 2 had been used. 😝

I watch Instagram’s Amazon Hauls. One of them showed under cabinet lightening.

Just so happens those type of lights are a TSV today on QVC.

Well I ordered 2 sets of them in Black. One box was Brand New and the other must have been a return, because the holes were already made on the back side of the lights. 🥴

Nope Sorry but Amazon is not that Amazing. 🥴

The Chase deal for 5% back from Amz was only from Apr 1 to June 30, it is not a forever thing, wish it was
