A lot was left out of that article, or at least sugar coated.
Antonella didn't "lose" the house to repossesion by the bank. They sold it, at a profit. Granted, without jobs they could no longer afford the monthly mortgage payments, but the bank didn't yank it out from under them. It is all in the real estate transfer records.
And COBRA insurance was always an option. Whether she took advantage of that i don't know. Costly, yes - but an available option, especially with a cancer diagnosis.
Also, she had a GoFundMr account, which stilll exists to this day. I am not at all saying there weren't challenges in her life. I am just sayig that she is less than forthcoming on some of the details. Hopefully all the health challenges are reseolved and done and over with and she, her husband and son can continue to live out their lives peacefully and safe and sound on the boat.

Pretty sure "lost it" meant they couldn't afford to keep it so they had to sell it. It wasn't something they wanted to do, but because of circumstances were forced to. Why make an issue over the fact the bank didn't foreclose? Isn't it a good thing it didn't come to that? Being forced to sell your house must be just as traumatizing.

She did sell her house. I recall her saying on a post on facebook that the first deal fell through. I saw the real estate listing - beautiful home. There would not be a listing if it weren’t for sale. To me, the term “lost it,” means the bank took it back, not that they sold it. So she should have said that they had to sell, not that they lost if. But the truth is less dramatic.

Yeah. "Lost the house" does have a foreclosure feel to it, doesn't it? I think I would have said, as someone else suggested, that I had to sell because I couldn't afford the mortgage. She does seem almost intentionally to omit important details. Cancer, job loss and heart attacks are bad enough without needing to make things seem even worse. (ETA-and yes, so is having to sell one's house, but there is a HUGE difference between selling at a profit and foreclosure.)

The US magazine article is a promotional tool that influencers and lesser celebrities can pay for. I bet if you Google it, you can find out how much it cost them (Antonella and Kerstin, or their agents) to publish it.

At the time, the details of the sale were posted on multiple public QVC forums. It was very easy to access. So, no, @Ladyrain is most certainly not pathetic.

Yes, I read from ChatGPT that cover doesn't exist. It came up on my Facebook feed. That's why I checked it. A real shame that we no longer necessarily can believe what we see on the internet.
