Menopause Monday - Really?

Just checking "items recently on air" and see Menopause Monday. Is nothing private anymore. In my opinion, tacky and unnecessary.

I posted about this a few weeks ago, when I first saw this. I just think it's so weird and silly. I don't know what marketing was thinking, but apparently they feel (or hope), with their "OVER 50 AND FABULOUS!!!!!" demographic, that there's a market here for this type product focus. 🤷‍♀️

I totally agree! I saw menopause come and go decades ago. I thought they were trying to appeal to a young viewer. Well they're not seeing menopause any time soon either.

Maybe Q needs to find out exactly the majority of the ages of women who watch their shows and place orders.

I have no problem with people talking about menopause.

I tune into a shopping network to shop. I don't want to hear about menopause, aging, personal lives, fights for attention, screaming, etc.

These 50-something hosts have barely begun to age and don't have a clue.

I just wish I knew as much in my 50s about aging as I do now in my 70s.

Many stores sell products for menopause; grocery stores, drug stores, Walmart, stores that sell supplements, Amazon, discount stores.

If I'm not interested, it's easy not to watch or purchase.

Everything aired and sold doesn't need to be for me.

I'm glad products are offered for those who want and need it.

For me, they really missed their mark with the 50 and menopause shows. Not the best way to sell to us. We don't endlessly fret about these things.

My thought is that very few younger people shop with the Q. They do Social Media (Tik Tok etc.). Thus the marketing to older people. I don't know what else they could call Menopause Monday. "Old Farts hour?" haha! The name doesn't offend me. I barely notice it.

I for one am glad to see that this subject in no longer passe' to discuss. We Women have suffered with it for decades with nothing out there availbale to us for help. It was a silent suffering for many Women. I myself suffered terribly with it when it first began many years ago. It became embarassing and somewhat debilitating to me. Yet Doctors and OBGYN were clueless how to help.

Seems in this day and age this couldn't be. Yet Men get their fix with the blue pill, go figure.

So I did my own research and found a specialist in BHRT and it was life changing. Been on them ever since. Not only that, but I helped my sister and my friends as well. So bring it on QVC smart move on their part IMO.

I have no problem with them discussing menopause. Many, many women do suffer through it unnecessarily and are embarrassed to talk about it or seek help for it. For some women, it's no big deal. For many, it is.

However, I did find it kind of crude for Mally and her guest to be demonstrating how to spray a vaginal spray they were demonstrating. That was cringe worthy.

Agree. I only know him from his posts on an alt-QVC FB page and I think he's nasty and petty.

The show is obnoxious can't understand why it isn't cancelled.

I'm sure younger people are not interested and people in menopause already know what's going on. The icing on the cake is Mally hosting with a "come look at me" attitude. She is so foolish and juvenile she should be hosting with a lollipop in her mouth.

I find these products & the Hosts that sell them totally obnoxious. Please ladies check with your Gyn's before using these products. I am well past menopause & worked in a GYN practice & for some women these products can cause many problems beyond ODOR! If you keep yourself clean & be cautious about using harsh so called cleaning products you will be better off. As far as Mally, Shawn & the rest of them I turn them off. Silly, childish behavior. The only ones benefiting from these products are QVC & the vendors.

Lots of the feminine area products they are selling on Q contain glycerin, glycerin breeds yeast infections and should not be in fem products.

@avid shopper If the QVC management can't look at this and figure out how stupid it is, no wonder they are going broke. Or ARE broke! And yes, I am using the "S" word!!!!

I have stopped watching live programming on QVC. It's not the Q from days gone by that I enjoyed watching and even took the occasional day off from work for special programming.

I realize I am no longer their target audience. I wish QVC continued success but as my generation often says " don't cut your nose off to spite your face."
