She's probably my favorite on QVC. Although she does fawn over L. Goldstein a bit much.

I can tell Amy loves shopping, clothes, shoes, purses etc. She doesn't seem to be on QVC as a vehicle to put the spotlight on herself. She's someone I would love to go to the mall with. She'd be an excellent personal shopper.

I feel the opposite. Her voice bothers me as does her constant fake laugh. I do watch her though because she is my size and I can tell how items will look on me.

@Northray - Although I'm not much of a QVC watcher I have noticed that same thing while channel surfing about Amy with Lori Goldstein and with Maria (Calista) kind of cringeworthy.

Neither me, but I do try and catch Amy's show if I can. She's short like me, so I always like to see how clothes look on her. But I'm not as thin as her, more like Crystal the model.

Seems like those are her favorite vendors. I know her and Lori are buds, and Maria cuts her hair. Still, she could temper down the praises when they are on because it shows when she's going a little overboard. Lori Goldstein is not a grand designer and all that. She's just a QVC staple now in rotation with the polyester Queen S. Graver and Issac. That's not to say I don't like Issac, it's just less is more of some of the vendors that are on all the ding dong time.

She's the only person I watch clothing on QVC. We have the same body. Short, small and thin. Anything she puts on, I'm more obliged to buy. I never look at the models. I like her voice. Nothing fake about her.

LOL - she's my fit model,too!

Her talk and laugh can be hard on the ears.

I watch Amy because she's about my size and I can judge how a garment looks on her and then on me....sometimes.

I noticed some of her Studio Park pieces being presented. I've been lucky with her jackets and sweaters fitting me nicely.

@Northray I agree. She's always been my favorite. We are the same size in clothes andI can tell how things will fit by watching what she wears. I must agree though that her fawning over Lori Goldstein wears thin after awhile.

I am not a fan either. Her overused line “this would cost $300 in retail” without specifying the brand, quality, or store is disingenuous.

Her delivery in general is performative.

@Bettyanne . I love watching Amy Stran. Even if she is hosting a line of clothing that I don't buy, I watch because she is a pleasure. She does het homework and presents everything professionally. I hope she never leaves.

ITA with your post. I just find her annoying, especially find it tacky when she's standing next to a larger model and she's constantly saying "I'm in the XXS and (insert model's name) is wearing the 2X. It's like she's always emphasizing how tiny she is compared to everyone else.

Some of us are very petite through no fault of our own. If it wasn't for Amy showing us how we would look with the xxs size we wouldn't have a clue. They have once in a while short model but never tiny. So if wasn't for Amy I wouldn't be included in their oh so called inclusive sizing. It isn't about bragging it's about some of us who are left out.

I get it hosts often repeat sizing info for clarity, especially for new viewers tuning in. But when it becomes excessive or paired with constant contrast (like pointing out the model’s 1X while emphasizing her own XXS), it stops being informative and starts feeling performative.

Being tiny like Amy doesn’t mean the clothes will fit or look the same. Long torso, short legs, broad shoulders, narrow hips, there are endless variations. Unless you’re her clone, it’s still guesswork.

I suspect that Amy has no idea the psychology behind being sensitive to weight and size issues. When she states about her size next to a woman Size 2X, she is an XXS, she has no idea that it might be offensive. Naturally thin people, who have never had size issues tend to not understand how insensitive that can sound.
