He seems to be banking on winning a lot of money. Otherwise, it seems like a bad move, in my opinion. Not that there are a lot of other tv shopping channels, but after this, what other place will want to contract with him?

For 31 years HSN gave him the opportunity to be successful and wealthy.

He repays by suing for $37 million, while they're on the verge of bankruptcy.

Seems to me a business has the right to sell the merchandise they feel will benefit them the most. Whereas $23m sounds like a lot, perhaps it was lower than previous years or what other vendors are bringing in. We have no basis for comparison. They could have many reasons for wanting a change.

I don't think he can make HSN sell his stuff. Now he's burned his bridges behind him.

I realize some miss him, but the few times I saw his presentations. I was never tempted.

No idea how his suit will be decided, but it's tough to get blood from a stone and probably just as hard to get that many millions from a nearly bankrupt company,

A lot of negativity in this thread. It seems like people are blaming him for suing. I'm sure that you would sue someone too if you felt wronged.

If he had a contract that they breached, he has good reason to sue. If he's owed money, he has reason to sue.

An attorney would not take the case unless he had expectation of winning or at least obtain a settlement.

I'd say that HSN has the right to end their contracts with vendors, as they see fit. (QVC, too). Haven't we all seen many of our favorites stop selling at each of these sites?

I'm sure there were many people who bought Anthony's clothing, but I didn't ever see anything I would wear. Maybe if I went to church on Sundays at a church where ladies dress up....but I don't.

this has been discussed in great length and legal detail in the other thread about this. This isn't just about being let go, there are other issues. I read the legal suit online at a legal site, and it is not without some merit IMO . Go to legal dot com or other sites. @Kachina QVC is listed because they own HSN, I am assuming.

There are certain legal procedures you must follow if you sue someone who is in bankruptcy.

There's a stay and no collections allowed.

@febe1 - QVC Group has not filed for bankruptcy yet - they are only in discussions.

I'm sure this lawsuit will settle out of court for a fraction of what he's askiing. A reputable attorney would not take the case if the atty didn't feel they could get something out of it - for their client as well as their legal fees.

@sunshine45 These things usually are. Reading some of the comments are interesting. Blaming Anthony for being ungrateful. We have no idea what the terms of his contract are/were. There is a saying " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing"

QVC owns HSN which is owned by Quests Retail Group .
