Harry Slatkin has started the show himself. I guess he's introducing Amy later as the show progresses.

Nice to see Harry on HSN. I wonder how his Scentworx candles are different from his Homeworx candles.

For those wondering.

HSN is selling Harry's ScentWorx line, the line that is sold at Kohl's and Walmart.According to google...its a budget friendly simple line

QVC is selling his HomeWorx line which is a higher-end line.

For those with the means, it would be fun to compare.

Unfortunately, I was part of a 14 person reduction of force at my job on 12/5. Totally blindsided. I wont be able to conduct this candle test or I would. Sigh::

Amy was presented as a shoe expert for many, many years and now is knowledgeable about home fragrance and body products? This is the problem with QVC/HSN. Happy to see Amy working but I strongly dislike when the on-air talent is framed as an expert in a certain product or brand or general category and then pop up as the all-knowing person in a totally unrelated category

In 8th grade I was asked to be on the debate team and asked them which side did they need me. They said pick whichever side you feel more strongly about and I said I can get the facts for either viewpoint and present equally as well.

Passion sure helps in professions that's why I'm a jewelry dealer as I love jewelry. But presentations on various items can be equally valuable if they're based on facts.

Amy is a talented good salesperson and does her homework.

Well that absolutely stinks! Except for the cliche about one window closes a door opens.

There may be some other things you've been thinking of doing so this may be the time?

I saw part of the show at the end with Amy. I also saw I think, the woman that used to represent Carole Hockman on QVC just now as a rep for a line of sleepware called Comfort Code on HSN. I can't think of her name, though.

@catter70 Yes. Michelle Micheals was the brand rep on QVC for Carole Hockman. Now she's the brand rep on HSN for Comfort Code.

@Caaareful Shopper so kind of you to say. I was in shock for a week. I have updated my resume and applied for a few jobs. I am wanting to try work-from-home positions now that I am 60 with a back problem.

@DSD2 I know, right?! The fiscal year ends in December. I get 4 weeks severance minus taxes etc. Insurance will end and they pay for 1 month of COBRA ( if i choose to get it which I wont)but I've quickly made Dr appts ( I have 3) last week, explained my situation and getting rxs that I can get at Walmart for cheap after January. I had to think of all the things this affects while being in shock. Not easy.

I live alone. I have 30k In my company's 401k. I have an appointment with my Financial advisor who handles my other that has 70k. Not enough to retire on. I am thinking about getting Data Analyst Certified. I just wish I knew about the program 6 months ago.

@Kachina624 you are right!I need to file for Unemployment. I never have done that, I've been keeping busy with appointments, resume stuffand paralyzing shock lol. Im going to pencil that information Thursday after I google how to do that lol

@BrandyTT2 I kind of agree w/you. I really like Amy. She has such a nice calming voice. I would imagine when they change products like this, they are trained in all aspects of the product.

That being said, I wish she would represent something other than Slatkin candles. I think Harry is a snake oil salesman.

@BrandyTT2 I have no problem with it. Brand Ambassadors often represent more than one line. Melissa Epps-Flemming, Mary Louise, Rick Roman, Brett the electronic rep, Chef Jeremy, and a few more Im missing all rep at least two lines each if not more.
