My package journey--I'm in NW Ohio

Ordered a set of 3 Kuhn Rikon shears on 11-26

Label created 11-27

12-2 Arrived in Ontario, CA

12-7 Arrived in North Baltimore, OH (about 30 mi from me)

12-8 Sent to Columbus, OH about 200 mi south of N.Baltimore

12-9 Sent to Maumee, OH, NW Ohio

12-11 Expected delivery by 9PM 2 days to go 4 miles.

16 days. Whose fault is this? QVC or UPS?? Geesh!!

I would say it's UPS's fault. Once Q ships it out, it is out of their hands.

Since I got mine several days ago, I'd say it was UPS.

I can top that. I'm in Amarillo, Tx.

My item got to Dallas , Tx 350 miles away then it took

a North turn and went to Chicago !!!!!!!!!!

My son is still waiting for for a pkg. that was supposed to arrive Nov.18..It was sent by me USPSwith tracking in the same state..On the the USPS website it hasn't moved..just says delayed!

I'd get the tracking #, go to the post office and have them to check on it.

I sent some pricey Vera Bradley purses to my sister up in Ind. since I moved up to Patricia Nash bags.

They never got there and that was yr or so ago !!

Somebody just stoled them.

I posted on another thread about a Kuhn Rikon item that I ordered on November 30th.

I'm in New England. The package via USPS made it from Virginia to NJ. Almost here!

And then, no rhyme or reason, it was sent to OPA LOCKA, Florida??????

And there it sits as of today. Next stop Cuba? Haiti? Who knows, but I would like to tell the post office, they're going in the wrong direction!

I don't even want to think about what condition it will be in, if it ever gets here. One more day and I'm contacting QVC.

(ETA: Not the first time the post office has done this. I had one package make it to a location about a two-hour drive away, only to suddenly be sent halfway across the country to something like Nebraska!)

They will tell you to check or make out a form with the post office.

Don't know if they will give you a refund or not

I ordered the Elton John/Slatkin Reed Diffusers. They were shipped on 11/30 to Atlanta, Ga. They were supposed to be delivered on 12/7. I looked at the UPS tracking and it stated there was a delay. As of yesterday, they were still noted as delayed in Atlanta, Ga.

I called CS and spoke with a rep who offered to send another out on Free Express delivery arriving on 12/10. I figured the package is lost, misplaced or someone needed Christmas presents, not sure. I was very pleased with CS.

Everytime they state delay and no further movement, I know the package will not arrive. Something happened and it has gone to never never land.

One thing to keep in mind about all the courier services (though it seems to happen far more frequently with the USPS) is that "phantom scans" sometimes sneak into the package tracking history. Especially during busy times of year, the computer may not interpret scan data appropriately, or it may do so at a very lagging pace, listing scans out of order. And for some classes of packages, the zip code may actually be keyed in rather than scanned, which can lead to erroneous "location updates" if a number in the sequence is not entered correctly. My brother has worked for the post office for decades and says they have tried many times over the years to implement changes to permanently fix these issues, but they still crop up from time to time.

Just by using common sense, you can often figure out the error—a package could not possibly be scanned in, say, New Jersey on Monday and then Nevada on Tuesday and then Pennsylvania on Wednesday. That Nevada scan didn't really happen.

@Patriot3, that is screwy. I say UPS since so many received theirs already days ago.

Only thing worse than UPS is when they hand packages over to the post office.

We are still waiting on a package from January 2015. It was a box of books. I beleive someone helped themselves.

I'm in Florida, and sent a return back to QVC's SC warehouse. It went to Michigan first. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I ordered Algenist toner in Oct., shipped by the Q on Oct. 12.

I never received and UPS just says delayed.

I just count it as a loss....

If it was sent the usual parcel post way, it's the carrier's fault, not Q or USPS.

Third party truckers move parcel post from location to location and they do it only if it's profitable.

It's also the lowest priority mail once it reached USPS. 2 days is fast parcel post delivery by USPS at this time of year.

Well, my package sent to OPA LOCKA, FL now says it's on its way to the "next facility". Doesn't say where that facility is!

And to make matters worse, I've just briefly watched QVC and saw a newer version of what I ordered is being offered at the same price. How annoying.

The items were meant as stocking stuffers for some friends, but I may just return them at this point.

@Jo1313 That sounds familiar. I had to

go to the local post office and they tracked several items that were supposedly lost/missing,etc. At least two were missing and one had been stolen and another delivered to the wrong address. I only received the package that had been delivered to the wrong address. USPS can be a real mess.

I've had packages taking a tour of the U.S. before it arrives to me. I remember one QVC package that was mailed from South Carolina head to New York central Post Office. Sat there for two days, before making a U turn to the south. But to me fair, things will get worse toward the few days before Christmas.
