      <title>QVC Returns Ripoff</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm done with QVC. I knew that they charge for using their shipping label, and I can live with that. But I just recently returned something (a LOGO top)which was too big.&lt;BR /&gt;Buying clothes from QVC is always a gamble because their sizing is inconsistant, not to mention that the hosts blab on and on about the colors, which we can all see with our own eyes and &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;SPEND LITTLE or NO TIME ON SIZING&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; which is the most important issue.&lt;BR /&gt;So back to topic, I saw that my refund was ZERO, so I called Customer Service.&lt;BR /&gt;I hadn't realized until now that they also charge &lt;STRONG&gt;SHIPPING &amp;amp; HANDLING FEE&lt;/STRONG&gt; on top of the Label Fee!&lt;BR /&gt;Silly me, I know, I should have known.&lt;BR /&gt;Still, &lt;EM&gt;now that I know&lt;/EM&gt;, I will limit my purchase to products that I feel sure about.&lt;BR /&gt;BTW always check the internet, Google the product - you can very often find the same item much cheaper, sometimes with free shipping &amp;amp; returns. &lt;STRONG&gt;The only QVC advantage is the "Easy Pay" and that's it.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;So you're saying that in addition to the $6.95?? shipping label cost there's another fee deducted from the refund?&amp;nbsp; In all my years shopping here I think I returned 1 item.&amp;nbsp; I only buy if I'm 90% sure of keeping the item and rarely spend more than $30 so if I don't like it, I just donate it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Look forward to what other posters have to say about this.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think something else is happening.&amp;nbsp; I saw the zero refund amount on my order and I realized it was because they changed the "order" of announcing what's happening when you use the online refund.&amp;nbsp; First you get an email saying that they know the return is on the way.&amp;nbsp; Then you get one saying they received it (and that shows a zero refund amount) and then a few days later, the actual amount is refunded.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Maybe I'm wrong but that's what happened to me.&amp;nbsp; Give it a few days and see if you see a credit.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I also check the garment measurements. &amp;nbsp;Then if you do an exchange oh my goodness it is so difficult to do even with customer service help. I always call when I return an item this and the last time it took me four weeks after talking to two representatives &amp;nbsp;to get my item exchanged that I had returned to the post office. And the calls with &amp;nbsp;the reps took at least 15 minutes! &amp;nbsp;Luckily the item I was exchanging for a smaller size was still available. &amp;nbsp;I don't have many returns luckily, but the hosts also blab on about stupid things while presenting the item that have nothing to do what they are selling. &amp;nbsp;Yes, sizing being inconsistent is another thing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Candace - I can understand your frustration. &amp;nbsp;Yes, we have to pay for shipping and return shipping if we don't like the item so it is important to know if we really like the item before making a purchase. &amp;nbsp;If, once the item arrives, &amp;nbsp;the item isn't a good color for you or doesn't fit correctly, it is worth your while to explore whether an exchange would be useful as an exchange alleviates a part of these problems as the exchange won't cost you like a return will.. &amp;nbsp;There are many advantages to QVC but all of us learn, over time, that we have to be very selective when we make a purchase. &amp;nbsp;For me, I have learned which vendors I can trust and which are unpredictable. &amp;nbsp;But that has taken years of learning. &amp;nbsp;(And Lord knows the amount of money I have wasted on the poor QVC shipping policies. &amp;nbsp;QVC knows there are better options but they choose not to offer them.). QVC likes to think they do good but they really only do average. &amp;nbsp;So look for the items that you really like or are convenient for your lifestyle. &amp;nbsp;Don't immediately trust the presenters because they are professionals getting you to buy but you will be the one paying for their salesmanship.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I often see posts where people say they rarely return anything. &amp;nbsp;I however do a lot of shopping on qvc and though I try my best to be careful in my selections I do have to make returns. I think that they look at the ratio of purchases to returns to calculate if they are losing money on a customer. I try to return 2 items in one package so that I will only be charged one shipping fee. &amp;nbsp;I also like most look forward to free shipping days, and I have had very good experiences with As IS and clearance items. There is a cost to doing business this way but for me it's worth it.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think people forgot that QVC is for profit.&amp;nbsp; They need to make a profit.&amp;nbsp; Big enough&amp;nbsp;to cover the cost of making the profit.&amp;nbsp; That's what a business is.&amp;nbsp; They are not wholesalers.&amp;nbsp; They are retailers&amp;nbsp; Like&amp;nbsp;going into a giant&amp;nbsp;store in a screen.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
