Watching her the other night with Kim G. and it looked like she had a chocolate ring all around her mouth. NOT a good look. She is such a pretty girl but wears way too much makeup IMO. Lisa Robertson used to wear dark lip liner. Maybe she still does. To me it looked like she had a mustache. The OP is right - not a good look.

Believe it or not, the dark lip liner is back..

I remember in1980's and 1990's dark lip liner

was very popular....

Courtney has her own beauty beliefs...and we may not like them but we csannot change others.

Example: I don't like the BREEZIE MOMs makeup ither. She reminds me of someone in drag....Long heavy highlighted bleached hair, thick makeup often over bronzed and glossy. I can say the same thin g this thread stated. There is a better look for you.

However, there's a boatload of haters here who condemn anyone saying an opinion other than what they consider the norm.

Not allowed to wince and make reactions to those presenters on camera.

I agree with the opinion of Courtney yet she is comfortable and she is content. If the Q had makeup for the hosts like they once did perhaps it would be different.

Makeup has become such an engine in America for women and it crosses all age groups. IT IS a huge money maker and promoter. Women like Courtney obviously spend much time on their looks and nothing others say will change her appearance unless she makes a change or a producer on the Q does.

Courtney is very invested in her appearance. She notes she is bougie, so go do your thing girl.

I was not into the dark lip liner when I was living through the 90s in my 20s, and I am still not into that dark outline. I think it looks ridiculous, like when all SK wore was a nude lip that matched her skintone for a lot of years (but she has grown into wearing a little more color now and it is nice to see!) But that is my opinion, I just prefer classic looks. I really enjoy makeup, but some people, especially hosts on QVC, overdo it and quite honestly they don't need all of that because they would be prettier without it. I thought the hosts looked much better during Covid when the make up artists left, sans false eyelashes and incredibly dark eyeliner all around.

I don't see hosts on HSN this overdone except for BRC. This is not judgement, I just think as a whole, women beat themselves up over the way we look and sometimes, less is definitely more.

I like Courtney a lot. Her mom owned a beauty school & she grew up in the industry. We wear what we like. She is a beautiful & sweet young woman & no matter what make up she prefers, she’s lovely & it’s her choice. I personally don’t wear any lip liner & never did & rarely wear lipstick. I see some really bad makeup jobs on QVC but Courtney is not one of them.

I dont wear any lip liners, I prefer tp use a lip conditioner or treatment balm instead, good for the lips and keep the feathering and bleeding away. I put it on my upper lip and just extend it slightly over it.

You’re entitled to your opinion, sure, but when that opinion targets someone’s looks, it stops being neutral and starts becoming judgment.

There’s a difference between sharing what you like and critiquing someone else’s choices.

Sorry but I totally disagree. I am not judging,,,just saying I don't like dark lip liner. PERIOD.

I am not talking about Courtney. I am speaking to trends in general. If the trend doesn't flatter you don't do it. Wait for a trend that does look nice on you. The cat eye is big right now. On my eyes it would look awful while I love it on others.
