Advanced orders - on Fall decorations !

The only two brands for decor I prefer are VPH and M-Childs (only if on sale). But their last shows, most of the items desired were not in inventory -- ship dates of 9/22 on most.

Why so late-- does it have something to do with tariffs, supply chain--what?

There was a post not too long ago about a MAJOR shortage of truck drivers.

Everything we buy comes by truck.

@mercyMe. It could likely have something to do with all you mentioned and international shipping. This is the new normal.

QVC can place orders in goods faith but that doesn't mean they'll get it when they want it.

Reminds me what happened during the pandemic with the back orders and advanced orders. Same problem, different situation now.

It's also effecting HSN and Amazon (and other retailers) of which I order frequently. I placed an order on HSN exactly 30 days ago and customer service says it's still on backorder -- even though there was no indication of that when they sold the item.

I've had one order on Amazon get a revised delivery date pushed back twice now.

I have found that items I normally get at other sites for fall/winter for gifts, are not available yet. These are places that carry the same items (cozy fall wear) but those items are not available this year. I have shopped them for years the first week of Sept.
I read that a lot of items were not transported due to the uncertainty of tariffs.
But vendors are afraid to announce that is a problem so nothing is said.
And most of the items are no doubt of overseas origin.
