Food vendor references

Why is it that so many of the food vendors (ie: Jackie, who represents Squirrel Brand and Bread & Bread, Melissa Epps. who represents Mascot & Keurig) always reference by saying our brand or we make these fresh each day, etc.

People who watch see these people on multiple times. Why are they acting like they work for the brand directly. Why not just say "Bread & Bread makes small batch holiday breads or Mascot makes peanut chocolate clusters from Georgia.

It's deceptive and untrue.

@FireFrost4520 the company they work for is hired by these food companies to represent them, so they are representing the "we" and "our".

Its how representation works

It's perfectly acceptable and a normal practice to say "we" when you are representing a company.

Nothing deceptive or untrue whatsoever.

Considering all the complaints about QVC, this one is particularly petty to me.

I kind of agree. Some of these people represent so many different things from electronics to cooking to food and so on.

True is's just a job but how much do these "brand ambassadors" actually know about the reliability of the products that they are selling?

Probably the same as any salesperson knows about what they're hired to sell. Even car salespeople don't always know how a car will perform long term.

What difference does it make? I don't expect a company rep to also be sweeping floors or filling jars. To accomplish a goal, each person has a different role.

I find this question to be QUITE odd, as we the viewing audience are NOT privy to the EXACT reasons, but as brand ambassadors it is simply their JOB to do so!🤔

There is nothing deceptive about it! It is brand association!

@FireFrost4520 This topic has been canvased on these forums several times. It bothers some and doesn't bother others. It bothers me because I've seen these reps say the same thing about so many different products to the point of being silly. But, it's possible the vendors require the rep to say it. And, hey, it's just a coffee cake. Shrug it off, if you can.

During their brief time representing the company on-air, they "are" the company.

I have no doubt that in the QVC prep classes held for product representatives, they are reminded and urged to reinforce the "We" often.

I agree with you. They come across as dishonest, and as "imposters." I would like to see QVC get rid of these brand ambassadors that represent a variety of products, and stick to people who are there gtruly representing the company they are a part of, whether by family connection or not. I just don't want to see anyone other than a show host promoting more than one product. Jimmy the Baker is the only one who comes on and promotes Jimmy the Baker products, for example. And there are many more. But I'd like to never see again people such as Jennifer Kovich, Rick Roman, Mark Charles, and Mary Louise Ludwig (the worst!).

Mark Charles comes across as odd and creepy. One of the few vendors who I would never buy anything from.

OTOH, always enjoy watching Jimmy the Baker. Love his crumb cakes.
