I was under the impression the host do their own makeup.

I'm of the belief that as women age they benefit from less eye makeup.

Rude comments about hosts are just silly.

I have been watching this presentation because I LOVE Northern Nights sheets.

Nancy and Jane are also super experienced, knowledgeable, expert presenters.

Jane's eye makeup looks fine to me--just a bit intense, but she is probably preparing for distant camera shots, not always close-ups as in real life, and some darkness with all the candles.

Ballerinas and theater actors also wear a lot of makeup because they want their facial details to stand out. I know Jane was a former ballerina, so she knows how to highlight her features.

In any case, I DO NOT REALLY CARE ABOUT ANY HOSTS' MAKE-UP!! That is NOT why I watch QVC. Some folks need more in life to focus on...

She wears darker foundation than her natural color. I don't think that helps her. Plus her eye makeup seems to have glitter and sparkle and that can sometimes emphasize wrinkles and other things.

The makeup that recently surprised me was that of the Breezies lady (the mom). The blush the other night was way overdone and misplaced. She's a beautiful lady but someone had a very heavy hand that night with what looked like a deep magenta sharpie.

i'm not being rude I'm sharing what I see and what comes to my rhoughts

I believe when presenters on televison want to promote their products as the best they should have a likewise personal approach

A woman whose represents her company that consistently looks bad b y every aspect of what the Q represents

Hair

Make up

Clothing

Obviously her daughters don't have the influence to change her and she definitely has the choice to look that way

But from my own personal ways...if the owner and presenter has a look that I see as way off then WHY WOULD I BUY HER PRODUCT?

If she can't

discern what looks good and what looks bad how does she discern her product?

I lose trust

I believe when you own a company or present it you do have to have an alignment with what you are selling.,,

I agree with everyone and they are saying what they see

I wonder....IF Laura Gellar looked like the BREEZIE Mom WOULD YOU buy her makeup?

Would you trust her ability to know what looks right and what looks wrong?

Yep....suddenly it's an issue of bad appearance or bad marketing

it certainly amazes me the posters who feel they are well qualified to judge the world on trends, tastes and fashion. What is dated? And By whom? And remember this isn't Saks &Fifth Avenue or Neimans.....you are watching and buying from a middle America shopping channel . The hosts are working men and women ,working long hours at a time on air....on live TV...without beauty filter lens, lol..or a professional poser to get all right angles. Those lights and cameras are meant for detail , not to beautify the host in their best light. Then blasted on on huge magnified TV Screens. YIKES, WHERE IS CECIL DEMILLE WHEN YOU NEED HIM? lol,The set is not made like a movie set. They get what they get, and go through their pitch non stop. Perhaps every day, every hour is not always their best hour. It is ok to mention you might not like their make up, but to go into detail and on and on, beratingly, it never ends. It shows smallness, bitterness, and pettiness of mind JMHO

ETA and I wouldn't think many of you who are so into correct make up and fashion would let anyone's appearance deter you from purchasing something you like. I assume you are all confident women who know what looks good on you, know how q fashion fits and works for you. I wouldn't call any of you followers, or someone who is impressed by looks alone. And I mean that

Why would I care about the host or vendors makeup ? Unless they look like me. 😉

The models are what I go by….

And if they don’t have a model with similar coloring to me in any video representing the product, that’s likely to be where a loss of sale happens.

I don't know how the breezies lady can think her make up looks flattering. It's so dry and aging. You can't even see her eyes with all that black make up on. Then you add in the bleached straightened hair and it just makes it worse. Obviously, she likes it and thinks she looks great.
