Steve Doss and Racine Kringles

Don't know why he's trying to be more animated and silly selling this bakery, lol. He's not my favorite host, but does his best work when he's toned down and more serious.

BTW, the price on those things are ridiculous. They were cheaper at the WI State Fair las week (I'm in WI), and much cheaper at local grocery stores here in SE WI.

Price-wise no comment, no previous experience with their brand. I caught Steve in between a few things arriving home from work. He seemed no different to me.This was a 5ish pm show.

Steve is such a sweet person!

He really seems to put his heart into his presentations.

I do not really pay too much attention to the food shows, but he is probably excited to be out of the office, and presenting on the road!

Caught some of the earlier presentation and thought he did a good job. Yes, a little more animated probably because his producers said this is a special live on site presentation, Also watched a few minutes of this last broadcast . He did fine .

Besides Steve doing a fantastic job, what do you suggest for those of us who live nowhere remotely near the Wisconsin state fair or your grocery store in SE WI? 😹

I like him and liked his Kringles presentations. He was thorough and enthusiastic.

Not everyone lives in WI so QVC is a good opportunity to try these delicious treats.

I feel like Auntie Mame when she gets fired from Macys, and tells for everyone to get the skates at Gimbals...but if you have a TJ, GET IT TRADER JOES, LOL. They are about 10 or 12 bucks.

Steve Doss is one of the few hosts I like. He is professional and always has a pleasant presentation.

@Tori3569 I hadn't heard of a Kringle til Trader Joe's years ago. There is a place in California, Solvang and Buelton that are Danish communities. They are a tourist place and I heard they sell fresh ones as well, along with other Danish, buttery delicacies. Yum

Oh, maybe three or four years ago I ordered Kringles from Amazon. I had my cousins over and wanted something very different from our usual Italian fare for dessert.

The Kringles were excellent and from a bakery in Racine, Wisconsin.

I have since started buying them from my Trader Joe's.

Steve does a great job. I like him as a host a lot.

Kringle is my favorite dessert. When I was a little girl, kringle is what my mom always had at bridge club and coffee klatches. And my grandma always served it for dessert after our Sunday dinners. We had Napoleon kringle on special occasions - awesome.

Every Saturday morning, my dad would buy a kringle and a Danish layer cake. My grandmother was from Denmark, & a great uncle owned a bakery when I was a kid. I grew up on Danish bakery, and I still love it.

My favorite flavor is apple. I've ordered a few kringles this past year: for our family Christmas, a thank you gift, for myself, etc. and had them shipped. They were great. O&H has a variety of Danish pastries, and the fruit they use from Door County, Wisconsin tempts me to try those kringle flavors.

It looked like Racine was a great place on a great lake today - Lake Michigan.

I thought Steve did a great job! I'm guessing he amped up his presentation style to try to match Mimi's—she is a bit over the top at times and really can ramble on a mile a minute. (I still like her; she's very sweet and sincere.)

But the mustache? Not a fan. I hope he's doing a play or something so it will be a temporary addition...

I just discovered that Trader Joe's has Kringle!!!! Our favorite is almond. Some of the fruit ones are too sweet for me.

I watched Steve's remote Kringle shows today and thought he did a great job. He was very enjoyable, gave all the details, personable with the guests, and charming - a very normal "Steve" hosting.

I'd love Steve to be my neighbor! That's how I know he's a good host for me. He makes me feel comfortable and welcome and he's not overbearing.
As for Kringles, I'm in Michigan and we have Fresh Thyme (a chain in some states) and they carry Kringles. And yes they are very reasonable...around $8.
But the offer I saw was for an assortment of all different flavors which I've never seen before. That was a nice idea. A person could sample all of their varieties. I actually get their catalog! And I've never seen the variety pack before so it must be done for QVC.

Go to Wisconsin and shop any PIGGLY WIGGLY and you will pay HALF OF WHAT the Q is selling them for

Ridiculous

AND we needed pretty Steve to go to Janesville and sell them????

Talk about wasting money by the Q
