Promoting the use of the Q Card is a major part of her (and every host's) job.

It's done because they are instructed to do so.

I would guess how often or even if the Q card is to be pushed by a host depends on the producer of each particular show.

@Junebug54 - I've seen other hosts do it. Perhaps just not when you're watching? I doubt QVC has tasked Pat D with being the only host to promote the QCard.

I've seen each and every host do the same thing at one time or another. It's especially frequent when there's a large cash-back promotion for signing up for the card.

Years ago, the Q had a promotion where the hosts had the Q card with them, and before a presentation or a show, they would show the card and say a few sentences about it. That was a one-time promo. After that, the promotion was over and none of the hosts continued to do it. I have no idea why PJM continues with it and keeps a Q card in her pocket.
