First time watching this host on Q2

Just finished watching Q2 Temp tations Holiday Entertaining show with a host that I never watched before Avijah Scarborough I was wondering if others were watching and felt she needed so much help from Lisa the vendor. She did not know the patterns names she was presenting, I was saying them out loud , the names were on her card,she even asked Lisa to name them,seemed vey flustered and Lisa looked a bit bewildered with her,Lisa could had done the job by herself without a host as Lisa always knows her Temp tations.

Know it is a holiday weekend with maybe other host being off but she should be more prepared ,just was the wrong one to present Temp tations.

Watching the following show Gourmet Holiday show with John and I believe he is a newer host but he knows what he is presenting.

I was looking forward to a two hour Temp-tations presentation. First of all, Lisa was remote. To me that says you just don't care enough to come in. There could be any number of reasons why QVC didn't have her come in, but that was my impression. If she were present, she would have been more of a help to the new host. And, yes. The host seemed unprepared and uncomfortable. I had not seen her before, but maybe another category is her strong suit. I turned it off and just looked up the Items Recently on Air.

I don't think appearing remotely has anything to do with "not caring enough" to come in.

This is probably the fifth show I've seen with Avijah over the nine months or so that she has been with QVC. She is never well prepared and she never seems very interested in any of the items she presents. I previously gave her the benefit of the doubt because she was new and still learning, but it has been long enough now that it's just not professional or acceptable behavior. Even with all the design options, Temp-tations is one of the easiest product lines to sell (especially when you have the VP of the company helping you), and she just did not do a good job. I think today was officially my last time watching when Avijah is hosting.

I only like watching fashion and accessory shows and I think that’s where Avijah Excels !! 💕

In fact the clothing looks just as nice or better on her than on the guest and models.

I watch Q2 when non fashion is on the main channel and she gives the guests styling ideas that they haven’t even thought of ! And Me either. 😜

I also feel Courtney K. does NOT have the enthusiasm needed for kitchen and food items or Home and gardening.

It’s like she’s saying…

How did I end up here ? 😂😂😂

@RescueLover YUP, Courtney has been vocal in the past about NOT knowing her way around and a kitchen and has been very open about barely cooking and mainly do takeout. I hope her hubby brings in some nice dough for supplemental income for the frequent takeout! Takeout fees/charges on top of owing a solid tip is just getting out of hand, nowadays!

A host does well with a category they enjoy themselves.

A person either the husband or wife needs to learn to cook especially with children. Don't want to raise them on fast food in my opinion. My husband loved to cook and me not so much. He did most of it and I dabbled in the kitchen. I was good at the simple meals and he was great at the more elaborate dishes. When he got sick I did the cooking and he enjoyed my cooking. That was a first. 😝 So those simple dishes I did learn came in handy. I enjoyed cooking more when I got older and seemed like so much work when working full time and raising a child. I just wanted meal time out of the way. I was great at housekeeping.

I enjoyed when we cooked together. I learned a lot. Our daughter loves to cook and I say lucky me.☺️

Isn't she brand new?

I remember my first public presentations and how nervous I was. I messed it up bad the first time but got better each time and ended up giving presentations at national securities events and at our office all over the country.

Yesterday we had the exact thoughts and conversation as the program was airing. She needs to work on her presentation and knowledge.

AVIJA does just fine in the fashion shows. With all those crazy patterns in Temptations line I'm not surprised she was confused.

I know there is a lot of negativity about JT but I think she’s the only host who can sell just about everything which is why so is of great value to QVC. She is always well prepared & knowledgeable about the products. I saw a little bit of the temptations presentation but shut it off, nothing to do with the host just not interested in temptations.

A QVC host’s job is to know the products she’s presenting and it shows that she doesn’t spend much time preparing for her shows. Either way, Avijah is just hard to watch annd listen to and she’s been at QVC for several months. It’s time to cut bait and find a new host.

Don't know this host--don't know most of them!!--but there are so many hosts why not just let them sell what they're comfortable selling? David does mostly kitchen/food, doesn't he? So why not have this host just do fashion and accessories? Just like doctors, the hosts can be "specialists"--LOL!!

She seems to be very, very nervous still. I thought she came from television. I'm sure being a salesperson is a little different than her previous life. I did not see the Temptations presentation, but I did see her with Debbie from LUG. She is still more of a color commentator if you will, she is not the play-by-play person. I am not sure why she is not growing as quickly as some of her peers. She appears to be a lovely person from what we see on TV, but maybe she's not actually a salesperson. In my opinion she seems to always be searching for words, and not truly familiar with the product.

I’ve watched Avijah several times as she presented clothes, Lug and Temp-tations. She seems very nice but also very nervous and unfamiliar with the products she is presenting. At times she is very slow to get words out of her mouth. Overall she just seems unprepared and maybe in need of more training. QVC is a business and I can’t imagine they will stick with her if she doesn’t progress soon.

NO, I haven't seen her in many shows myself, but I know she's been on meet our hosts portion of the website for quite awhile ......Perhaps she needs to spend more time learning about the products... Leah has talked about how they have meetings with product ambassadors and crew to learn what items are going to be in the show....and they have the cards to lean on too.

When they used to do behind the scene interviews with the hosts one said that QVC wants them to be spontaneous and not pre-rehearsed in their sales talk, but the hosts must STILL KNOW THE PRODUCTS!!!

I prefer to give her a little grace. We've all been super nervous or frozen in place at some point in our lives no matter how well we knew the material.

Your anger/irritation only affects you. She doesn't know you and you don't know her.

Besides, she probably was upset with her performance after that show.

@Stray I'd rather watch AVIJA stumble than watch JT sell anything. I do t care wgat she's selling, I immediately change the channel. Can't stand to listen or look at her.

Should grace still be given after 7 months of presenting products?

I don't see anyone "angry/irritated" here as you say. Posters are just sharing their opinion - which seems to be the same.
