Hosts do matter

I really like the Jennie Garth collection and I like her. I caught her earlier today and she said she would be on tonight. I made a point to turn it on and forgot it would be with Shawn, ugh. I don't watch often but I really have a hard time watching Shawn. So will check out what has been offered, but disappointed not to see the presentation. Just can't take Shawn.

When a salesclerk/host takes attention away from the product being sold, it's a problem. Because QVC is a department store, where products are sold and not the sales clerk's career - yeah it's a huge problem.

I watch nothing with Shawn in it because I know it becomes about Shawn and not the product. I'm not watching QVC for the salesclerks/hosts I'm watching QVC for the PRODUCT. So the sales person should make themselves as invisible as possible and let the PRODUCT shine. Shawn does the opposite.

And that's exactly why I love Shawn and watch. I enjoy her and what she brings to the presentations. Just bought a top on the Carla Rockmore show.

QVC Hosts who show no customer appreciation and say something to the effect " they can't wait " for the show to end so she can buy the Carla Rockmore items.

It's always abt some Host's life , wants, needs.

@rms1954 I only saw Katia and petite model Sam on the Me show with Shawn. Sam has dark auburn hair. I haven't seen Deanna for a long time but Sam does resemble her a bit.

@MUO @Northray AMEN, I second both your thoughts on Shawn! I greatly look frwd to the day she goes into podcasting and retires or is relieved from hosting duties. I can't stand her as a host and instant channel changer/NO business from me, but I LOVE her with podcasts/interviews.

There are a lot of hosts I don't like but few send me running to my remote like Shawn does.

Another that avoids Shawn, I can tolerate Jane moreso than I can Shawn. My husband is hoping that she ends up on 24/7 . . .

I watched a couple of the Jennie Garth shows because I am interested in purchasing some of the line. The host working with Jennie was definitely a factor for me. I found Shawn unwatchable because I wanted to see the clothes and not her prancing around, walking in front of everybody and talking over everyone. I watched Jennie earlier with another host and watched the entire show and made a purchase. I changed the channel from QVC during the evening show and just looked on line later.

I am not "bashing" anyone but stating my experience. I like to see the clothes on the models to get a better idea of how they hang and move so watching a presentation matters to me.

I like Shawn but there are many hosts I'm not crazy about, and a few I can't stand to watch. So I get it.

I don't watch the ones I don't like.

What bugs me about Shawn is her made up words. Like adding "ie" to the end of words. She does that all the time.

Is it too much to ask to have hosts who do not make up words or talk constantly about their families or repeat the same phrases over and over?

There are a few who avoid the above. Wish they all did.

It can be done.
