I thought their contract ended & UPS would just deliver? Why is QVC still using this slow crappy method? USPS is terrible here.

Just lately most of my QVC packages have been delivered by UPS, which I much prefer.

I live in SC and, for some reason, many QVC packages get stuck--often for a week or more--in one particular postal facility in Georgia! I ordered 2 Denim & Co. tops that were shipped on 12/31...one arrived on 2/11, after showing NO movement until 2/8! The other is still out there somewhere--according to tracking it shows movement, but no location is given.

@Clovis1. I don't think USPS is doing delivery for UPS, however, some things are sent straight USPS so are delivered by postal carriers.

It does add two days when UPS hands over to USPS but I don't care. I never order anything that can't wait an extra two days, even three. My two recent packages were from USPS so apparently they never ended it.

My guess is one simple reason...money. The fastest way is the most expensive way. I would rather wait longer for a delivery than have the high cost of a speedy delivery service passed on to me. Shipping is expensive. I am lucky that I live in a highly populated area where I often get emails that my package will be delivered sooner because UPS decides it's better for them to keep it in their truck and drop it off directly to me rather than deliver it to USPS.

Some may say, well what about Amazon. Amazon is a behemoth compared to QVC.

I received 3 packages last week delivered by UPS and it was noted in tracking that UPS would be in my area so they would deliver vs transfer to USPS but I also have 1 package just delivered to the post office by UPS that will be delivered tomorrow. With that said apparently USPS is still doing deliveries for UPS .

I got a Q package Saturday in the mail that was originally sent UPS. The difference this time was that UPS handed it off to USPS in another state before it got to my local post office, which is what they had been doing.

But I still got it a couple of days before the estimated delivery date, which was a complete surprise.

I live close to the main big post office hub and the local UPS plant which is even closer.

Often my packages go right from UPS to the PO for delivery to me.

I know that UPS says it it too expensive for them to deliver in areas where they don't have a ton of deliveries to make.

The PO delivers almost everyday so it's more cost effective for them to deliver. UPS was making 50 mile trips to deliver one package in some areas.

I have no idea why it happens where I live. When I track my packages, it takes an extra day or two and probably goes right past my house.

Whatever. Eventually, I get it.

WHY would QVC "end a contract" with the US mail service? Sorry, but that makes no sense.

If your US mail service is not up to par, take the time to contact your local government representatives and make sure they know there's actually a problem.

Yes....they all have websites where you can voice your "concerns". "Some" even will reply to you.

It is cheaper for UPS to drop off some packages with the local post office, then the USPS probably has a 2 or 3 day window to deliver it, making shipping cheaper.

QVC does this because it is cheaper for them to ship that way. If you are needing something quick, order from Amazon.

Guess I'm pretty lucky..When my regular UPS driver is on and something is supposed to transfer to USPS...UPS driver will deliver it to me.. he has to pass here on the way to the post office.

I also thought we were done with the US Mail Innovations where the product starts out on UPS and then goes to USPS. I have had a package trapped at a hub for days and days with no movement thanks to this system. BAH! QVC is still using this awful system.

My packages use to start off ups then transfer to the post office, but lately I get the notice that ups will be in my area and deliver a day early.

It was all UPS for a couple of months, but now I'm noticing they're being transferred to USPS again. It was great while it lasted.

Back in the first part of February I ordered a gift for my sister. That magnifying compact. Never received. The last information was that they would deliver it February 15th. But never did via USPS. Something happened between transferring my package to USPS. Anyway, I called and that's what they said. Most deliveries will be with UPS. But some will continue UPS to USPS. Anyway I'll get a new one. Every now and then I check the old one and it never changes. My sister's birthday is March 5th. Hope I get it by them.
