UPS & USPS At Odds

Consequently my last two Q orders were returned to the Q. I am so bummed. UPS refuses to send my USPS orders on to me and had them returned. Let's hope this gets resolved. One of the orders is a pair of IM pants and, of course, they are sold out. Never mind, couldn't re-order and receive them anyway. I also cancelled my Q card because Synchrony Bank is a joke. Use another credit card.

Is there any way to contact UPS to find out why your packages are not being transferred to USPS? That is really odd. Carrier problem not Q.

I'd say 70% of my packages go UPS to USPS and I have never had an issue.

I have many Synchrony cards, Lowes, JCP, Amazon, Q, HSN and have never had a problem w/ Synchrony ever.

Sorry you are having so many problems! Hope it gets resolved w/ UPS.

That's happened to me a few times. I've decided when it has happened I wasn't supposed to really have whatever I ordered.

@RespectLife I contacted my local post office as well as QVC and they are aware of the problem. There's apparently a problem between the two carriers and are hoping it gets resolved soon.

That's wild... I live rural and the majority of all I receive are between these two yet never a problem. Hopefully you'll get it squared away soon. Good luck!

I wonder if the company that does the transfers between UPS and USPS is still owned by Louis DeJoy, the postmaster general? This is the source of most misdirections, slowdowns and extended holds, imaginative excuses and outright lies in my experience, a company called Narvar

I notice that most of my packages (99%) lately are coming by UPS which I LOVE! It is so much faster than the USMail Innovations. USMail Innovations is the slow boat...

PS I don't like Synchrony either. Hate it. I can't cancel because it's tied to a retail outlet. DD had them for one month and cancelled them.

@Beammeupscotty. In my area UPS does the deliver if two or more parcel are being delivered to the same address, the same day.

@LTT1 - Not for me. It has everything to do with Rossford Ohio being some kind of black hole. A package will get there and won't move for about 10 days and next thing I know I have an email that says the Q has received my return.

@Kachina624 - Narvar isn't involved in any physical aspect of shipping; it handles order communication and tracking as well as initiation of the returns process for some customers (I think QVC still uses another company for that service, though), again primarily focusing on the package tracking aspect. I agree that they aren't great at what they do, though—my direct alerts and tracking from the couriers are generally at least one step ahead of the Narvar reporting presented via the QVC website.

@pattypeep - I'm sorry about your situation; it sounds very frustrating! And I'm honestly surprised to hear about it because UPS and the USPS confirmed a huge contract last summer designed to strengthen and expand their partnership in package delivery. My fingers are crossed that your issues get resolved soon.

In the meantime, if you're getting a lot of packages sent via UPS SurePost, you may be interested in signing up for UPS MyChoice Premium. This service allows you to automatically have SurePost packages delivered via UPS without the handoff to the USPS. It costs $19.99 per year, but I have found it to be totally worth the money, even though both UPS and the USPS are great in my area. One note: The upgrade does not apply to UPS Mail Innovations packages; they will still be handed off for final delivery.

I had the same issue recently. QVC Customer service told me UPS and USPS are in negotiations and has caused this issue recently. I was able to get a replacement shipped right away and added my physical address to my ship to address so hopefully it will get to me one way or the other.

Do you have a MyChoice account on ups.com? If not set one up. It's free.

You can add an option where UPS keeps and delivers packages they'd normally drop at USPS for delivery for $20 a year. I do this and don't have any problems.

In my area I almost never got packages from UPS no matter how many I ordered from QVC. It was always the US Mail Innovations which was a hybrid of UPS and US Mail. I figured it was because of the "get it before Christmas" promise because UPS is so much faster. I don't know why all of a sudden I'm getting almost exclusively UPS since Christmas promise is over. One thing I do know is that this is very different from past many many years.

My son works for UPS and said UPS canceled their contract with USPS for Sure Post. UPS will now deliver all packages sent UPS. No more Sure Post!
