Big Disappointment with Lindt TSV

My order from Lindt made in June, the TSV that let you choose your order date, still isn't here. I asked for the Dec 9th delivery thinking it would give me plenty of time to share with friends and visitors. Got an email this morning apologizing for the delay. This really is a big disappointment, should've ordered directly from the company. I don't understand how something ordered in June can't be delivered in December. Not the end of the world, of course, but sure learned a lesson here about choosing a ship date, even six months in advance. Grrrr.

@Carolina925 The same thing happened to me! It's now supposed to arrive on Wed., Dec. 19, but I think it will come a bit earlier, because it's in Easton, PA, which is about an hour away from our house. But it will probably have to go to a "hub" first, so who knows.

We're taking it to the nurses' station at my MIL's nursing home, so as long as we get it to them next week, it will be OK. Sorry it ruined your plans. There's no excuse!

How terrible. I have a food gift going to a friend-- supposedly on Monday. It was ordered on Sept. 20. I will not tell her something is coming until I see that the gift is at her front door. 😊

QVC is notorious for backing out on sales and delivery dates. They cancel orders, they keep your money for awhile then say they don't have the product.

And they are also famous for PROMISE to deliver by Christmas promotions! But of course that may or may not happen. Oops! We're sorry.

Aren’t the dates you choose Ship Dates? I don’t think they’re delivery dates. With the slow postal service, it’s hard to know when things will come.

Yes, exactly. Ship date of 12/9 means just that. I had the same ship date for bagels and got them last night.

We ordered 2 Boxes of Landies Candies pretzels in July with the ship date of December 9th. They were shipped out on the 9th and we received them on the 11th.

We order them during the Christmas in July event (they really are the lowest price then) and get them every year on time. No problemo 😂 with QVC or the vendor. 🤗

Yes, it's only a ship date but I would expect it at least to be shipped, not "in process". The email didn't give another ship by date, only that they were having problems filling orders for them. When I chose the Dec 9th ship date, I didn't expect them to come on the 9th.

There are complaints on the various QVC groups/pages from customers the last couple of weeks saying they received the Lindt candies just poured loose in the brown box they shipped in and didn't receive the holiday gift packaging.

Maybe they had to correct the problem at the Lindt warehouse and that's why they are delayed?

People have stated on FB that they ship directly from Lindt, so it's out of QVC's hands.

The problem is Lindt is accepting more orders than they can handle ($$$).

Same thing happens every year.

I have received an order in the past but it still says in process on my order page. Hopefully you will receive them. If you like Lindt chocolates and have a CVS near you you can buy them there.

Those Lindt Chocolate balls filled with stuff are absolutely delicious.

Usually they are set out at Christmas parties. Rarely do I buy them do to the addictive nature.

That being said you can get great sale prices at Walgreens. Some of the come in cute gift shaped boxes. You can order on line and have them shipped.

My Lindt truffles were shipped in November and arrived right on time. Don't forget, it's the vendors, not QVC who ship food. The problem could be

the lack of availability of transportation. As more people shop online, transporters are inundated. I heard online shopping is up 10% from last year.

I think it is usually best not to order anything 6 months ahead, plenty of candy offerings everywhere when it is actually holiday season. Just my 2 cents. Lindt and Lindor are sold everywhere.

I think the Christmas in July are great offerings, usually far better in price than most places and with some unique configurations. And the bonus with the Advance Delivery is that if you find something more to your liking in the interim the order can be cancelled.

@Carolina925 An early order running late would be upsetting. I received the last of my Christmas in July orders yesterday, 12/13. I think the 9th is actually the guaranteed ship by date. Not sure it means expected arrival time. Sometimes my items arrive earlier, sometimes later. I always allow a flexible window.

A delivery delay is not uncommon, but usually is of short duration. It's not always the Q's fault, either. Crazy things happen more at this time of year, but deliveries can always be tricky.

Always thought the dates were "shipping the week of {date}." If it was 12/9, I always thought they'd have until the 14th to ship it and get it on its way. I never interpreted the date mentioned on air as a hard-and-fast ship date nor an arrival date.

Agree with the earlier point about this being on the food brand who ships the items directly. Silvestri's shipped almost 3 weeks late in November, yet QVC was still hawking the exact same item on air while November recipients still waited for their item.

You could always ask for a refund if it won't arrive in time for your holiday occasions or gift-giving.

this is one reason why i ordered two different ship dates.

i have already received my ship date order of 10/28. nice packaging, nothing damaged. my only complaint is is that the candies are not labeled. only one flavor is labeled. no loose candies roaming around the box. lol

it looks like my ship date order of 12/9 is in process right now, but i am not concerned because i still have some left from my 10/28 order.

both boxes of my landies candies pretzels arrived within a few days of each other.....two different gift boxes. perfect condition.
