Are you referring to flooring, fabrics, or metals?

If the latter then yes, I agree with you because I have been seeng it since the 1980's. But unlike me, not everyone has been buying jewelry for decades. I could say the same about the San Marco, mariner, figaro, Byzantine, and lately I would add in the paperclip. I assume the pattern will do just fine in the future even though we may have lost interest in it; it's a classic.

It's a classic that has been showing up more lately. I bought the bracelet because I like the more slender, low-key profile.

I hope you like the bracelet, @Sammycat1 ! I've been looking for one to match my Big Bonanza Silver Day 1994 TSV herringbone necklaces, but those are 5mm so this isn't quite what I want.

OMG @Pyrite2616 I have that necklace from 1994. My my mother got me a marching 5mm bracelet not long after. Something about this more narrow look appealed to me...that, and the reasonable price!

Ehen you think about it, we rarely see these anymorevandvi believe it's because with polyester, it is more difficult to create.
I miss some of the fabrics we used to see.

So, apparently designers are feeling it too!

google search for "herringbone" brought up lots of offerings!

These are the ones I have. I think the bracelet would go with them nicely, even if the gauge doesn't match.

I really like the herring bone pattern in clothing. Have a t-neck w/that pattern.I prefer a smaller type of pattern.

I own two very large herringbone necklaces, 14 and 18k. They were attention getters back when I was working and they will grab attention today. They both have high gram weights and I would not be able to afford to buy them today.

I can't imagine adults thinking real gold.....real gold!! Or even silver ..being outdated.

Who puts these crazy ideas in our heads and what makes us fall for this stupid stuff?

Get off the stupid merry go round and be sensible. If you love it, buy it and wear it, and for others, stop trying to shame others into going along with these crazy trends.

@Carmie I so AGREE (I am shouting) with that statement. Classic design, precious metals and good taste have been in style for a very long time. Like thousands of years long, and will be for a long time forward.

Trends and fads come and go. Invest in classics and wear them a lifetime then pass them on.

I love herringbone designs and always will wear them and buy them. I am looking at a sectional right now in a light oatmeal color and a subtle herringbone weave. And am thinking of getting another like it but a little different seating configuration.

You are spot on Carmie! Or should I say herringbone correct!
