QVC complaints

Many times when a complaint is registered,the first or nearly the first sentence has to do w/how much has been spent over the years.

I am going to hazard a guess and say that the person you are complaining to has NO IDEA how much money you have spent.

Hows about telling us all how much interest you have paid on your Q Card or whatever card you use.

I have observed that the complaints are a- plenty and not like the old days. One of the reasons I rarely buy from the Q. Oh, also that thingie about the returns.

I understand what you're saying. I have a few thoughts.

Interest on the cc is paid to the bank, not Q. Q doesn't care as long as they get their money.

Q doesn't really care how much someone has spent because they already got the money.

Complaints happen everywhere. IMO, some are silly and non-issues. Some require a little common sense. Some need a simple google search. Some are legit.

I bought an item this month - the first since the covid lockdown started. It was defective so I returned it. Not a good step back to Q.

I always price shop. 99% of the time, I find what I want elsewhere for less money. That's why I don't buy like I used to.

I purchased the Scrubzz cleaning cloths for a friend having surgery.

They were WAY WAY cheaper here at Q. .26c each compared to .45 at Wally and Amazon.

I have never paid one cent of interest on any credit card I have.

Qurate shares in the interest collected by the sponsor/issuer of their corporate HSN/QVC cards. Accounted for as "other revenue" in mandatory financial disclosures.

They definitely have an "interest" in shoppers carrying balances.

Qurate knows exactly what is spent and how many purchases by existing QxH customers and "best" customers and has a profile of the "average" buyer.

Their reporting always mentions sales to existing customers as well as the number of new customers. Their system keeps track. Someone can dig down down into the data, just like at any other business.

Amazon is good at this. When I reorder an item, they let me know the last time I purchased.

I shop here and other places, yes, sometimes it can be cheaper elsewhere. I have found some Amazon prices ridiculous at times. An example was instant soup I got at the grocery store for $1, it was almost $7 on Amazon.

I think the Q has great beauty bundles at good prices. I sometimes get beauty from eBay. Original packaging. Maybe no box, or if you want one or several. All expiration dates were fine. When I see some of the Q clearance prices, I wonder who paid the full Q price. I usually shop on free shipping days. The days of Q's Beauty TSVs being 29 and 39 are mostly over.

I don't use mine either. Synchrony closed my QVC & HSN cards since I wasn't using them.

My ShopHQ card was also closed. I don't remember if that was with Synchrony or what Bank is was from?

I was going to close all of them when I found out they had already been closed.

I'm glad all these plus other cards were closed from me not using them. At least now I know nobody else can use them.

I think most times when you find higher prices on Amazon it's from a seller other than Amazon.

It's the same way on Wal-Mart site. I always check the box Wal-Mart under Retailer because these sellers always charge more money plus it takes longer to recieve.

I only hae one credit card. A Visa and that's the only one I use. Don't have Qcard or any store card.

I don't know when these prices for disposable Scrubzz were offered. They are not accurate right now, and Scrubzz are cheaper elsewhere, depending on the number of disposable sheets bought.

I rarely find items cheaper at Q than elsewhere, and I do buy these special prices on items I want when I see them, usually when a guest vendor is making several appearances or a rare appearance, so I watch the schedule for that.

But what I buy most often at the Q are items that are only sold here, particularly clothing with garment measurements that appear to fit me and wide shoes, and special offers on beauty items.

Items that can be found elsewhere are often cheaper there. With beauty items, the inventory here is fresher.

Easy pay can be a help sometimes, justifying the higher price, and we may be willing to pay more to obtain this financing for budgeting purposes.

QVC DOES CARE about how much customers/posters purchase because the customers it already has are cheaper to keep than to find new ones.

And I agree w @They CallMe MRWILKES about credit card purchases. I don't use the Q card. Interest rates are too high, and I don't need the extra easy pays at this time.

If Q wants to increase sales, IMO, they should offer flat shipping rates based on the total amount of an order, or offer a paid membership with free shipping. I would sign up for that. When one orders multiple items, the shipping easily gets ridiculous like $40. We know Q is not paying that to ship. Q combines orders for shipping purposes when it's convenient to them.

The QVC free shipping days are mostly a gimmick. Q increases prices for many items (by eliminating the sale price or reducing discounts) in anticipation of "free shipping days". For example, yesterday i was considering buying A654070 American Leather Co. Carrie Pebble Leather Crossbody for $104.98 and no s+h. I did not buy. Today, the price is $96.98 + 5.50 s+h = or $102.48 total. So the total price + s+h TODAY is LOWER by $2.50.

So I only buy on free s+h days items that I have been monitoring for a while and don't expect to be lowered further soon. I did buy several items. And, in fairness, the price of one item I bought on sale for $65 yesterday is on sale today for $68 with $3.50 s+h = $71.50, so I saved $6.50 on that purchase by buying yesterday. The other items I did purchase (clothing and 1 pr sandals) remain at the same price, so I did save s+h, if they arrive and are in acceptable quality. They are all old inventory, and, in my experience w old inventory, delivery is often delayed, items sometimes are never shipped, the wrong item is shipped, or the correct item is defective.

In my experience w QVC, the best time to shop and get my item at a reasonable price is when new inventory is offered at a sale price. Initial sale prices are often good, and items are delivered fast. I can get my preferred size and color. Sometimes prices are lowered later if the items sales did not meet the Q's expectations, which usually means the reviews are bad because the item was poor quality and and Q probably had many returns or acquired too much inventory. (I have made such returns, and checked reviews on returning items at deeper discount prices, so I speak from experience.)

I have never had an item in my WL go up b4 a free ship days. I know others have stated it happens....but it never has to me. I check my WL every day...the prices do change...but never across the board when a free ship day is happeneing.

I just ordered Scrubzz here Saturday. And I also just priced the Scrubzz this morning. My prev post amounts are correct. Comparing Q to Wally and Amz. I didn't search randomly on the internet...just those two. There are other versions of these at lower prices....I am comparing the name brand.

I tried the Wally version and they shredded very quickly.

About 2 wks ago, I ordered 2 Lego sets for Christmas from Q that were significantly cheaper than Amz.

We need to shop around, but I disagree that everything can be found cheaper elsewhere, that is simply Not the case.

My Edge shopper window pops up on every item I click on and tells me if it is cheaper elsewhere or if I have the best price.

Often the item is only cheaper w/ some sort of rebates type deal.

I don't understand why you repeatedly imply that I wrote something different than what I wrote.

I did not write that ALL the prices go up on free s+h day. What I wrote was that the price for one item went down AFTER free s+h day, one item went up, and others stayed the same. I did write that the Q increases prices for MANY items by eliminating the sale price or reducing discounts prior to "free shipping days" because this is what I have seen. I wrote MANY, not ALL. I have not checked all prices so I don't know. But the sale prices of most of my saved items went away a few days before the recent free shipping days. I know some sale prices remained, including for 2 items I purchased.

I did write and believe the Q free s+h is a gimmick. I don't care for the way that Q handles s+h. That is JMO.

I also mention some items at the Q are cheaper than other places in certain circumstances. But in my experience, the same item on Q MOST OF THE TIME will have a higher price than other retailers. This is just my experience. I did not write that "everything can be found cheaper elsewhere".

I did check the price per sheet of Scrubzz in the Q website and compared to the price in the Amazon website just before I posted, and the price per sheet in Amazon was lower. All prices were higher than the ones you listed. If you think different, that is OK with me.

My experience has been that my WL items have NOT gone up right b4 free ship.

I pay very close attention. My WL is 5 pages long....

Your definition of 'most' and mine are clearly different. I said others have posted they saw price increases, but MY experience is that I have not.

On 9/10 Wally and Q had a Lego Sonic set for $34.95....Amz was $59.....they have since matched the price....but when I ordered...Q was as cheap as Wally and Amz was significantly higher. Fact.

I never said or implied you said ALL....I stated MY experience was clearly different than yours. Let it go.

Chase keeps asking for our yearly income so they can raise our limit. We don't need them to raise our limit. We only use it on Amazon.

I'm sure they can see what our income is anyways. Since we retired they all want to know our income.

I have seen items go up in price on free shipping days and then go back down afterward. Kind of a sleazy thing to do. I also always thought QVC made money off customers getting a q card. Why else would they constantly be pushing it? I will never get one because I don’t want to pay QVC any more than I already do.

Hi @Puppy Lips - My easy pays go to my Q card and I pay the Q card in full each month so I've never had to pay any interest.

I appreciate having the card when the Q runs specials for card holders. You won't have to pay anything extra if you get a card.
