Is QVC changing Christmas!

So tonights show is Shawn says Celebrate! Is this replacing Shawn Saves Christmas? Yesterday was the Celebration show with Jane.
Is QVC not saying Christmas for some reason? I'm just wondering because about 6 weeks ago I received an email asking me about Christmas shows and I wonder if they are charging the format.

@Parischic - QVC has had a theme of "Can't Wait to Celebrate" focusing on a variety of celebrations and festive occasions and holidays for the past week or so; it looks like that will continue for a little while. But don't fret—there is plenty of Christmas-labeled Christmas programming coming up, even as soon as next week.

I can no longer bear SK. She routinely speaks about her body parts and functions including having a hemorrhoid. Last week she was presenting a no rinse cleansing cloth. She said if you don't have water " you could probably spit on it."

That was it. No more SK. Yuk!

I agree with you! I don't get QVC on my TV so I check on my phone at the program guide and saw Shawn had another ridiculous show named after her.

I hear plenty about her crude behavior and it amazes me how some posters love her. If you disagree you're a Pearl Clutcher. Lol I don't wear pearls, but I do have good taste.
Shawn speaks for herself.

I love Shawn, she knows how to sell and always gets a rise out of people, funny as hell. There are plenty of other hosts- just turn the channel.

@Parischic. I can't figure out what they're doing. Every night it seems to be a different format and rather chaotic. Maybe they're throwing them against a virtual wall to see what sticks?

I don't pay much attention when they discuss programming. Maybe I missed something.

@baglady9, having potential customers "just turn the channel" does little to help a struggling shopping channel.

Formost QVC is a retailer. I know if I'm not watching, I'm not buying.

What is truly unfortunate is that many brands that are of interest to me are featured during a time block with a host I find rude, crude, and displaying disgusting unhygienic habits.

Looking online is not equivalent to viewing a live airing. QVC squanders that one asset unavailable to traditional online retailers.

And for those clamoring about sell outs during this time block...just check back a litttle later. Gee, items are available again.

She's crude and crass...like a lot of popular culture today. ....don't want to see Amy Schumer on a toilet, don't want to hear details of Shawn's body and body functions.

Funny I was just telling that to poor Kachina624 yesterday! What a concept, what an idea, I think most people don't even bother to watch Shawn so they don't need to turn the channel! OR, like myself I don't get cable so I don't have to even see her! I do have the mobile app, and I always check to see who is hosting and what show is on, that way I can avoid hosts who lack common sense on TV

Yes, we're pearl clutchers, uptight. old ladies in need of a fainting couch.Lol. I was an RN in a big city hospital for decades. There is almost nothing I haven't seen, heard, smelled or touched. So no, Shawn's crudeness certainly doesn't shock me in the least. I just don't find it entertaining.

I do change the channel but I miss out on the fashion shows I enjoy. I'm all for fun, don't mind an occasional off color "slip up" if it's spontaneous. I just wish there were some basic standards in place. Different times I guess.

she is my favorite host! i like that she is "earthy." its a nice change from some of the hosts.

i think it is funny how she gets a rise out of people also, especially people who DONT need to watch her! this isnt anything new, so they already know.

Shawn doesn't get a 'rise' out of me. I used to watch her when she first started in the beginning. In my opinion after LR retired Shawn became the new Queen Bee which would of been fine if she had the character for it. Everything Martha Stewart said to her on the Apprentice was correct.
If Shawn is 'Earthy', funny, ECT, she should go into comedy or have a her own radio show, she might have a bigger audience, kind of like the Roseanne type crowd.

why? she certainly has a successful career right here at QVC and there are plenty who like her, watch her, purchase from her shows when she is on. it isnt all the "roseanne type crowd" either.

you may not care for her, others may not care for her, and some definitely seem overly irritated by someone they DONT have to watch at all.

@sunshine45, no people don't have to watch. But watching encourages sales. The salient point is that people hope to see the products, hope to actually purchase the items being shown during this time slot but don't. I won't buy anything during this host's air time, even looking online. To me that would amount to encouraging bad behavior.

So I miss seeing a live presentation of a product. QVC misses another sale. Wonder how many sales they can continue to lose?
