Sampling of food... anyone agree?

Watching any of the hosts who host food shows or sample food.. They take a bite and immediately, and I mean immediately start jumping up and down, saying how good it is, etc.

Savor the flavor and let the food sink in. Do they actually enjoy the food or just for the sake of TV— say it's good.

WOW! I do not agree with that assertion.😁 Their reactions are meant to convey in a VERY short period of time, how much they like/enjoy the product; as they are instructed to do.

I do not know if they ACTUALLY enjoy the food, but they are paid to make me believe they do!😁 I have purchased food items a few times, so perhaps I was influenced by some of them.😊 Mission accomplished!

Shawn surely didn't do any jumping yesterday as she was too busy shoveling turkey breast into her mouth. Said she'd already eaten two and was still eating.

So I have been duped a few times, into buying food due to the never ending eye rolling, jumping up and down and practically swooning over those "tasty" bites----and everyone of the ones I tried--were gross and I got my $$ back. No more for me. I do eventually learn......

These hosts aren't professional actors, with the exception of Terri Conn.

Okay, since this is a sales presentation, what would YOU do differently?

How would you communicate enthusiam on camera for a tasty food?

They can't just let the sample food sit there and not touch it.

I don't normally purchase any food on here but those Landie's truffles looked great!

David and Rachel seemed to genuinely love them. I don't mind if they act silly or not,

they are trying to portray a tasty item.

Last Christmas I purchased an assortment of Ladies tubs of various candies, marshmallow, caramel and it was among the best we have ever had.

what I saw at MN was she took a very large piece that the Corky's guy was going to cut in half. Shawn stuffed it in her mouth then flung her arms around pointing with her fork and of course began talking with a big mouthful....

I know what the original poster means. When we taste something, it normally takes a few seconds once in the mouth to form an opinion as to whether we like the texture and taste. I get that the audience doesn't want to stare at someone chewing for 15 seconds before speaking about their impression of the food but sometimes, it's too instant and appears fake.

There are a couple of hosts who cram the food into their mouth and begin talking. The mixed nuts and filets are always a sure thing for a host who has not found her nitche yet.

It is obvious to me the host will always love every food he or she tastes, I can't imagine any one of them saying, Yuck, this stinks, LOL. That is their job. I do not buy too many of the food items because I live in an area where I have variety and choices of all different food. The only product I do buy are the Landies chocolates which I love and give as gifts. However, I do understand what the poster is saying.
