REQUEST TO QVC: make a separate GAMERS section on the boards please!

if any of the QVC board monitors are taking requests/suggestions, the please consider a separate GAMERS forum ASAP. it is so difficult to have conversations/discussions on the community chat thread when the games are popping up. it would be nice for us AND them if you could just create a separate forum like they had before......PLEASE!

I've already posted about this, but I just wanted to second your suggestion. Making non gamers wade through all of those posts is cruel and unusual punishment.

Please please please~!!! It needs its own forum.

They fixed that a few years ago and I'm surprised they moved it back to what is now the 'Viewpoints' forum.

Hopefully they are just still working on things.

Several months ago QVC posted a blog about upcoming changes in the gamers forum. When will those go into effect? Would love for someone from QVC to respond.

...and admins, suggesting that they move their games over to AMONG FRIENDS is NOT a good option either!!!!!..... they need a totally separate forum!

They have made a separate Gamers forum. This was just posted in Community Chat. I'm so glad! They really needed their own forum.

It would be helpful and eliminate many questions if "GAMERS" was listed 24/7 as the other Forums are listed. Why do I have to sign in before it shows up on list? What is the reasoning behind this decision??? Thanks.

Hi @MyNicName @MyNicName

I am sorry it appears we are trying to be secretive about the GAMERS category. We are happy to add anyone who wants to be added to the access for this specific category, all are welcome to play.

With the new forums we no longer have the ability to filter the activity of a particular category from those who do not want to see the particular posts from that category. This is how we had Gamers setup in the past, the heavy activity from the small number of Gamers was only impacted by individuals who visited that specific category. In the current forums the activity would be seen in many places.

Those who post in the Gamers category post a lot and it can quickly take over a page and start to look like SPAM. On day one in the new forums the game posts lived in Community Chat and so many became angry with the volume of posts that began to be all about games.

In order to give Gamers a home that would not negatively impact the rest of the Community we needed to create a category that is only visible to those members who wish to play. It is not the ideal solution, but it does give Gamers a home and has ended the posts complaining about moving Gamers to their own home.

We are continuing to review a better solution.
