Does Anybody Else ?

Does anybody else have a difficult time watching QVC? It has changed so much over the years, some might say for the better but I don't think so. I rarely watch anymore. Half the host's I don't like listening too, they talk over the guest, interrupt and give too much information about their personal lives instead of selling, which is what they are suppose to do. I use to enjoy watching when the OG's were hosting but they seem to slowly be leaving.

I agree completely. I just tuned in and the first thing I saw was one of my least favorite hosts with one of my least favorite vendors. Don't know what they were selling I just moved on.

My next stop had a host that I like but the show was something I can't watch for very long.

I miss the old days when it was entertaining and sold products that were new and could not be found anywhere else.

Yes and I stopped watching a long time ago. I might tune in for a few minutes during Christmas items but I no longer watch Qvc. It's only a few hosts that are there now that I can tolerate to watch anyways.

I don't watch as much as I used to for several reasons including....

Same products over and over, it's boring, host who won't let vendors speak, silly host behavior, story telling, exaggerations by hosts and vendors regarding prices and quality, etc.

I still like to watch some of the fashion presentations, but most of the time I mute the sound. If I see something interesting I turn the volume on to get info, but most of the time I just get more small talk. I use the Q website to get details and make a purchase decision.

The only shows I watch are those with Valerie Parr Hill. Even then, with certain hosts, I use the "mute" button and glance at the screen to see Valerie's ideas for displaying her pieces. I check the website daily and look at items recently on air to see if anything looks interesting.

I definitely do not watch the Q as I did many years ago. However, if there is something I may need or want I do tune in or shop on the site. There are few hosts I care to watch , too much silly chatter, rudeness and interruptions and constant tiresome selling points.

No difficulty with watching here either.

I watch many shows and like most of the current hosts, with only a handful of exceptions.

BACKGROUND NOISE for me.....to drown out the creaks and groans of an old house!!!! If I'm in the mood to buy something, I use the Q web pages.

Yes I understand. I usually have my iPad set up wherever I'm cooking, cleaning, working and between the 3 channels I can usually find a host or vendor I can watch. Sometimes it's muted. The pressure right now must be in full force because it shows in some of the manic behavior.

I used to keep QVC on for the pleasant background noise.

Not pleasant anymore. Too much hype for me. Seldom watch!

I watch certain shows, but some I have no interest in and don't want to tune in. Sometimes I think they spend too long on one item.

Like so many I can say I don't really have much interest in watching the shows, been a Customer for over 30 years just to much over talking the vendors ,some host with their childish antics,but will sometimes find myself going online to see items recently shown guess it is a habit thinking I'M missing out on a good deal but not really liking the prices I am seeing on the Q.

One thing I know my credit cards are having a nice siesta,from the Q and know my husband is happy when he sees that I am so into watching Court TV in the daytime and in the night either Audible or podcasts are very relaxing for me.

I work from home and the Q is on all day with low volume.

Sometimes I switch to mute.

No problems watching here.

It's amazing to me how many products they try to sell that have bad reviews. I understand they want to get rid of inventory but to me it's less than honest. It really pays to check reviews before ordering. The hosts go on and on about them, pretending that they are great. Yes, I know that's their job. To me if they have bad reviews, they don't deserve air time.

I agree 100%. I barely watch qvc . The crude, crass. immature, over the top hosts and their behavior being just one reason. Same old vendors and products. There is nothing worth watching anymore.

You know it used to be that QVC was my channel of choice. I would go there first to see what was on before checking any other channel. I feel like most of you do that the primary problem is the hosts. Also, the same products over and over again. And truthfuly I feel bad about that. I always felt that QVC served a good purpose and now I am not so sure. I really wish they would take into consideration what their loyal shoppers think and maybe try to go back to basics to some degree. Also, I could never understand the big deal about the $3 reduction if you buy a second item of the product they are pushing. It seems to me that $5 would be a more attractive incentive. They promote that $3 reduction like it's $30.

I watch many of the fashion shows, but usually muted. The only hosts I can abide listening to are Leah, Jayne Brown and Pat. Sometimes Mary D., if she isn't being too silly.

A far as jewelry goes, I will watch American West shows sometimes but that's about it.

Otherwise I shop via the Items on Air lists

They spend way too long on items. Viewers are lucky if they show five items in an hour; six, and they're cooking with Pam! Many items could be presented in 5-7 minutes. QVC might garner more interest if they kept it moving.

Multiple hour-long presentations might be okay for a computer or tablet, possibly, but does a vacuum need that much time? They just do the same demos over and over again.
