Jennie Garth explains the meaning of her new clothing line “Me”

It originated from a scene in which the actress was asked to choose between two guys and she replied, “I Choose Me”.

Her line of merchandise has the statement on it. 🤗🤗🤗

That sounds like such a dumb way to launch a clothing line.

Most women don't want affirmations on their clothing. ME included. I am not interested.

Yes, a quote from 90210. Talk about stuck in the 90's. A time of cutieisms on clothing. For some, everything old is new again. For others, people learn to move on. But I guess there will always be groupies.

I don't find the quote "empowering" since that's the buzz word of this marketing ploy. I find it egotistical and selfish. I think by the age of 50 most realize the need for balance in life, and find a way to give to others while finding some time for themselves.

My Facebook feed showed a quick look at Jennie's fashion line. Most of it is not my style. Even though I probably won't be purchasing any of it, I think that it's a good move for QVC to showcase a genx-er as the figurehead to appeal and target customers of the same age. I am from an older generation and never had an interest to watch 90210 or anything else Jennie was in.

Not interested in watching her, or her clothing line. She is overrated and self absorbed IMO. No suprise it's called "me"

I like how you think. I agree it’s a good move on the Q’s part.

I disagree with @Etoile308 that the words aren’t Empowering.

Before I even knew how they came about, just seeing them on T-shirt’s, etc I felt the words impact.

I am assuming many others do too, since many items on her own web site were sold out.

I wouldn't assume things are sold out. I suspect more than likely it's inventory being held for QVC's "big" launch. Guess time will tell.

Sorry, I was never the type to feel empowered by pithy comments on clothing, posters, mugs or anything else. True empowerment comes from knowing one's self worth. No need to announce it to the world.

But this seems like another attempt by QVC to foster another "celebrity" with the belief that their customers will buy anything with a name attached.

There was an article online from WWD that showed some of the items. I think it looks like a thoughtful collection. The article said it was priced from $49 to $129. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
