A few minutes ago I had a phone call from QVC.

I was offered $10.00 coupon.

I asked how much do I have to spend for it, haha, only $50.00 which does not include shipping and taxes.

I declined and wished her a nice day.

It sounds like they're calling a lot of people about this.

I got the coupon offer in a brochure through the mail a while ago and haven't used it. Just the other day I received a call from QVC customer service reminding me of the coupon, etc.

I never heard of any other vendor/store etc. offering coupons via the phone. A service, yes; a store, no. Seems odd.

QVC customer service called me in June to ask if I had received the mailer. She said mine was in the mail, but she also gave me the code for $10.00 off of a $50.00 purchase.

I never did receive the mailer.

I must not be a 'select customer' as I tried to use the coupon code on several non-sale, non-clearance items. I read the terms of the coupon many times, and I can only surmise that they don't want me using it. OK, QVC, you got it.

I guess that's money saved for me.

Don't think it's a scam. I received the same call 2 days ago and used the coupon the same day.

I did ask why the phone call and the woman said they're trying to reach out to customers in different ways. Maybe for those who may not have computers or email (I assume maybe older people?). Not sure but it worked and my item shipped today.

I normally wouldn't have answered but I saw the number coming through as the original customer service number. Since I know phone numbers can be scammed, I was leery when I did answer and prepared to hang up. But the response from the representative let me know it was legitimate.

Thank you for posting your experience, this morning I checked my call log and it was indeed a QVC customer service call I received.

I'll post the number, it's one readily available.

I called this morning and QVC customer service picked up.

Yes, that's the number. It's the one I've always called when I need to talk to a live customer service representative. Which is why I picked up, albeit cautiously.

I've also read here in the forums that others have been receiving phone calls from QVC so I was curious.

I reveived 10.00 in email from the Q. I called them up and brought a 29.99 item and customer service gave it to me.

It would not take when I ordered from the Q online.

No it worked for me, but I called the Q and ordered and she CS put it through and my item only cost 29.99.
