Q's prices are always higher but people still buy. I rarely purchase from Q and when I do it is usually when they have philosophy specials. However I have been purchasing from TJmaxx.

Peaches, long synonymous with summer, cost more at the grocery store this season — sometimes by 25 to 50%, according to peach producers and trade organizations. That’s because un-peachy weather has led to a shortage of the fruit in places like Georgia, South Carolina and Illinois.

It has been all over the news for a while now. Obviously the Q price is higher than going to the grocery store due to the shipping costs involved.

I do not believe I have had a good tasting fresh peach since I was a child. The ones in the stores do not even have a fragrance.

As far as the prices on QVC , occasionally I se a good clearance price . I do not watch shows of what used to be my never miss ones-- SG and Denim & Co. I just do not need a $50, tank top or T shirt. I cannot listen to SG squealing about a $3.-$5. markdown. I do still like these --but!!!

I feel like 'channeling' the old Sanford & Son tv show for those who remember or have seen reruns--Sanford(Redd Fox) would be shocked by something, pat his chest as though having a heart attack and say "Elizabeth ( his beloved dead wife) I am coming to you."

These threads about the price of food here at QVC is just another trip on the Merry-go-Round.

While some may feel prices are too high, others see value and convenience in ordering.

My complaint regard qvc. I wanted a bad sweater the other day and it was either sale priced or this show/day only for 99.98. I ordered and canceled it after. I wanted to think it over during the noc. Decided I would order it but now it's 168.00. Why can't qvc let the sale price or whatever stay in place for 3 days? People living on social security want to make correct decisions and not waste money. I would think most people retired or not feel the same. Sometimes you just need time to justify it or recheck budget for the month. And this was a barefoot dream sweater not bad as first stated. Qvc at least think about it. Thx

@gypsys mom - I wonder if it would be successful if Q had a sale "week" like stores do. For example, grocery store sales start on Thursday and go through Wednesday. (I know they have weekend ones too). Other no -grocery stores have their sales run Sunday through Saturday. Aside from the TSV, I wonder if it would be a success for Q to have a sale week as well. An item could be on sale for longer than a week, but a customer would know they need to make a decision by a given date. I prefer to think about it as well.
