Leah...just an observation

I just scrolled through the QVC program guide and noticed that MBR will be hosting tomorrow's am show and PJD on Saturday's am show.

Is it my imagination that Leah has only been hosting her fashion programs/shows about 50% over the past several months?

I know she had been on a vaca recently, but she seems to have been gone a lot.

Again, just an observation.

I don't pay that much attention to the hosts programming. I know I can't follow her presentations and I usually won't watch her. She seems to be having trouble getting out clear sentences. A lot of stammering and stuttering recently.

I've seen her on with Denim & Co with Gary. But I've noticed that she seems to be in the background. Also, her Sat. morning shows are not showing a lot of good and interesting items. Seems like a lot of old stuff.

She looks very pretty and healthy, and I hope all is well with her. I've watched her on Sat. for years. Maybe she needs to begin singing and dancing a little.

@rms1954. Please, a little understanding. When Leah first started, she had a very pronounced stuttering problem. I'm sure she's worked hard to overcome it until it's hardly noticeable. Some days it's more pronounced than on others, maybe when she's tired.

Seems likeni saw her do a jewelry show one day this week. Yes, her schedule has been strange lately.

Maybe Leah is getting ready to retire. I know I've heard her say most of her family lives in California, which is where she is from. Maybe she is looking to move back there once she retires.

I heard her say that her youngest nephew was graduating high school this weekend. Not sure if he is in California like the rest of her family.

@kjg Ahhh...that explains her being gone this weekend. Thanks for posting the info. I hope her and her family have a wonderful time/celebration!

People take vacations, sick time, FMLA time off, etc etc. I'm sorry but don't understand why a change of host is even noticed or noticed enough to post.

@RMS58 Stuttering is a medical condition. For people who have it, it can be both debilitating and embarrasing. I'd say that she is doing well for someone who is presenting on TV.

@febe1 LOL. In my opinion, there is NO WAY that Leah would sing and dance, nor should she. The little routines that others do are just dumb, and embarassing. On another note, I did not know Leah had a bad stutter when she was hired. Makes you wonder why she was hired in the first place. I guess I do see it now and then when she is presenting. She is one of the better hosts.

Why not hire her? She was qualified for the position and worked on TV previously. Having a hidden disability, such as a stutter, is not a reason to object to an individual's intelligence, integrity and qualifications for a position. Sounds like she has had many years of continued work to help her overcome the stuttering. Stress and fatigue would be culprets of increased problems in Leah's language.

BTW: Amy Stran also has a speech impediment, especially when she is tired or feels anxious.

Both women were hired by QVC with excellent educations and quickly proved they were advantagous as top hosts. Today, each one is among the highest achievers in sales and most watched!

Statistics have proven that an employee with a hidden disability will usually outperform other employees from their first day on the job. (I'm also one of those disabled adults who was a Type A personality and always outperformed my friends and those I worked with, but we all learned from each other throughout the years, as well. )

@BirkiLady Well I misunderstood a previous post then. I thought she actively HAD the stutter when she was hired. That would be a valid reason not to hire someone, if they were stuttering on air while trying to sell QVC items. It certainly does not take away from any of her other qualifications.
