Mary Beth posted on her Facebook page that she will be hosting Thursday evening, June 13, from 8 - 10pm on QVC. She said she will be making an announcement at the end of the show. She didn't provide any other details about the announcement. In case you wanted to watch and don't follow Mary Beth on Facebook, hopefully you'll see this message.

When she mentioned it at the end of her Summer Essentials show she seemed to have choked up a little and Nancy Hornbeck had a quick lip piercing somber expression. As of now, if you search the last item from that show, Northern Nights sheets H463482, the last few seconds is her mentioning it. Hopefully it’s happy news about a new show or something but, it feels as if she’s stepping down a bit or all. Speculating of course. But it makes sense if so, as she may want to focus on the grandkids more.

My bet is also on retirement. If so, good for her. I remember her mentioning on a show not long ago, that she and her husband downsized from their home to a smaller home so with that, maybe she's figured it's time to retire.

I was hoping it's just about tomorrow being Founder's Day. But the way she worded it, "I've got something to tell you", makes me think it's personal and she is retiring. And of course that would be an announcement that should happen in primetime, 10pm.

@Ane1Care - I just watched it. I don't think it could be anything but. Nancy's expression gives it away. Also, I thought the way she greeted Mary Beth and thanked her was very telling.

I believe she is announcing her retirement. I find it very fitting she will be hosting "Thank Q Appreciation Finale" when she makes this announcment. She has been with the Q since the beginning.

I know it's premature since she hasn't retired, but I will miss her.

Sadly, as I predicted this a.m. in the Amyb podcast thread, I could see this coming from a mile away from some of her recent interviews. She will be greatly missed. I think she is burnt out and wants to spend time with her grandchildren. She has been training the revolving doors of new hosts and I think the younger crowd is not her cup of tea.

My Mom met her in person and said she is as genuine and a sweetheart of a person, as she comes off on camera. NO fakeness with MBR and I will miss her soothing voice. I don't know about any of you, but to me a voice can make or break watching QVC. Some voices are sooooo soothing and pleasant and some are just a nightmare and instant channel changer for me!

I think Mary Beth is retiring too. I actually wondered if that’s one of the reasons she didn’t go with the gang to Las Vegas.

Also when I heard Amy Stran trained Melissa McGoff. Since Mary Beth was the sole trainer for many years.

I hope they have a Big Celebration for her!!! 💕

I remember her first day on QVC. She was so sweet and did a great job from day one. Her Minn accent was pretty thick back then, lol. She hadn't been married long either. She was often sharing tidbits of her wedding. It must have been about 1989 or 1990. Long time. I bet she loves QVC, but she is probably ready to,retire and enjoy her close family.

I agree with much of what you said especially about pleasant voices.

Its interesting that the old guard {Pat, Jayne, Jane, Rick, etc.) stuck around & are still going after years on the air but the new hires seem to quit easily & are not satisfied with the job.

Mary Beth Roe is one of my favorite hosts. I saw her presentation today on QVC and I heard her say that she had an announcement for tomorrow night on QVC- I think she's going to retire. Mary Beth Roe has put many years into QVC and I wish her happiness in whatever choice she makes. I'll miss her! She is such a sweet lady on QVC and I really like her laugh! She's a dear heart.

If MaryBeth is retiring, that will leave me just 3 hosts that I will watch. I hope she is happy in her new journey, more time with her family, that’s if that is what her announcement is about.
