A couple of days ago I purchased Peace Love World Blazer. (A647721). I have never gotten anything that was made of Linen. How do I care for it? Want to start out wearing it with no wrinkles. Do you suggest wash (cold water) dry in dryer for a while and then hang to fully dry and then iron OR bring to cleaners? Thanks for your advice.

I believe linen is suupposed to be kind of wrinkled and crinkly--don't iron it. I would wash on gentle then hang to dry--maybe smooth it out with your hands as it is drying--I don't have anything linen--should be washing instructions on the label or check on its page here. Use the item #

I have a pair of white linen pants . I always get them dry clean bc it is easier. As soon as you wear them they winkle and esp sitting in the car for a graduation. I like them but honestly don’t wear them that much .

I took a peek at your blazer and really like it. It appears to be unlined and very casual. You might start out having it steamed or do it yourself.

If it is washable, I would wash it on delicate and hang to dry. Maybe steam it a bit.

When I worked, I had a lot of linen suits I always had dry cleaned, but they were lined and more dressy.

As @wagirl mentioned, linen pieces are meant to look a bit wrinkled. That is the charm.

People either love linen or hate it. I always loved it.

I have several unlined linen capris from Old Navy. I wash them on the regular cycle and dry them in the dryer. Then I iron them on the linen setting on my iron. They do wrinkle quite easily.

The summer tops I wear are linen. I have been wearing them for years. If I wash them I hang them to dry and iron. I use a very warm iron with a pad on top of the shirt to protect the shirt. I usually can wear a shirt twice without it looking like a mess. I will sometimes send a top to the cleaners and I find it stays less wrinkly for a longer period of time. When I iron I sometimes use spray starch. I do no mind ironing and I find linen is really comfortable in the hot weather so I am willing to take care of it.

@Fribwl @I just looked at the blazer. I wanted to purchase, but felt it was too long for me. Anyway, it is a linen/rayon blend so I do not think it will wrinkle as much as all linen does.

Nice blazer, not a bad price. I would follow the instructions and wash and dry as recommended. I agree with previous poster that since it's not 100% linen, the wrinkles shouldn't be as bad as 100% linen, which I think is meant to be "wrinkley."

@Fribwl FYI, even if you iron this item (and pre-wash or whatever), it will wrinkle in 3 seconds. That is the nature of linen. Rayon wrinkles too, though less than linen. The garment will wrinkle as fast as you fold your arm to reach for a door, a purse, anything. If you don't want to wear wrinkled clothes, this jacket is not for you. The jacket also looks sloppy. The first thing I saw on the model was the facing showing. It is apparently so narrow that it comes inside out just with movement. Poor design.

If you don't want to iron you may be able to steam it, but you will probably have to do either one. Linen and linen blends that are just washed looked like unmade beds. They are work and there is no getting around it. Dry cleaners do an excellent ironing job to be sure if that is within your budget.

@Fribwl I agree w/ @wagirl . Linen is supposed to be wrinkled. You're paying for those wrinkles. Lol. I think that blazer was a linen blend w/ another fabric, so may not wrinkle as badly. I'm sure there's care instructions on the inside label. Just don't put it in the dryer no matter what they say.

I love and live in linen all summer. Wrinkles, bring 'em on, it's the look. If wrinkles bother you then linen is not for you. I wash mine and hang to dry. I steam if needed, but they are going to wrinkle as worn.

Linen is difficult to wash and iron. The first sitting and the wrinkles will appear. The worst linen blend is linen/cotton. I bought a linen/cotton skirt and it was murder to iron. I could have spent hours ironing that skirt and it would still be wrinkled.

It's not 100% linen which would look like a huge wrinkled mess. It's a blend of 55% linen & 45% rayon. Hoepfully it will be easy to take care of. I ordered the olive.

If it gets too wrinkled, I'll steam it a bit.

i just started a thread about the blazer! i ordered last night, missed out on the blue cloud, so ordered the black! hope it fits well, i hate to return, due to cost.!! fingers crossed!!

i will follow the label and since it is a blend, it should not wrinkle as much....

@haddon9 , Can't wait to get this Blazer. I know that it will wrinkle . I think for starters, I will bring to cleaners. I realize that as soon as I put it on, it will wrinkle. Lol. It looked so nice on Amy, that I could not resist. I like the length. If I like the Gray Moon, I might go back for French Mauve. Yikes, there goes my budget! Lol
