Why were the hosts names removed from the program guide?

I did like having the knowledge of who the host is for the hour reflected on the program guide. Why would they be removed? Any ideas?

@Suneshine So customers wouldn't not watch the show if they didn't like that particular host, is my guess.

Many complain when the host schedule changes too. Q can't win on this issue.

I really don't care who hosts a show. I care that their shows are repeats of repeats, boring as all get out. I can't turn the channel fast enough when they act like children, compete for attention, and tell personal stories.

It probably has something to do with the constant schedule changing.

Every time there is a host change, the complaints begin.

It really doesn't matter to me who hosts a presentation. I find I really can't sit and watch a talking salesperson for too long.

Unless I am looking to buy something specific , I don't watch randomly.

I only buy what I absolutely need, not what I see and might like to have.

I already have too much stuff.

I rarely watch any more. I used to scan the schedule and se the shows of interest. However, I don't enjoy some of the hosts, so I'm less inclined to watch a show that I'm only mildly interested in if one of those hosts is the presenter. And I sometimes turn on a show and find out I have no idea who that host is. (And they wanted us to be more like "family" (or some such nonsense).. Anyway, what I do now is just search Items Recently Prevented to see what I might have missed.

I very much miss seeing the schedule with attached host names.

It served as both an invitation and a warning.

I most definitely paid attention and reviewed it.

What's gone is gone.

I'm getting real tired of the personal stories!!! I'm not interested in where you went on vacation, your daughters favorite chocolate, how many pairs of shoes you own etc,etc.. The long fake nails, and fake hair are not something I like looking at!!!!

Looks as though on Monday night Stacey Rusch will be on with Shawn K . Not sure if Amy's there too.

Just hope Shawn does not start her asking Stacey embarrassing things or talking over her on TV as she has done with previous co -Hosts

There's a chance it might just be another website/system programming issue. The daily and weekly program guides for time zones other than Eastern Time have had errors for almost a month now.

Three of the main problems have been the daily guide indicating it is showing a non-ET lineup as selected when it is actually showing programming in ET and the weekly guide having blank blocks instead of displaying shows as well as listing days where the programming just appears to stop late in the day (there is blank space rather than the grid lines or any show details). And there are still occasional instances where one or more 1:00 a.m. shows in a non-ET calendar are listed as "QVC TV Show" (or something similar) instead of listing the actual show information.

I really could write pages about the issues with this website; there is such a lack of understanding of best practices in programming, design, development, functionality, user experience, and e-commerce that I'm surprised it doesn't completely implode more often.

Now we have our answer, which I suspected the whole time. QVC takes the host names off the program guide when there's a host leaving. They did this before in 2022 when Katrina left.

ha @skatting44 I saw the beginning of the show with Shawn & Stacey and Shawn right away started in with her 20 question routine and let's get to know you better. Stacey was nice & professional about it but didn't seem enthusiastic (which I totally get).

Now I've read that Stacey is leaving QVC. Makes you wonder doesn't it?

I agree. I never watch the hosts who do this a lot. I am bored to death with their stories and how many they bought. I do find it okay with Mary Beth who doesn’t do it constantly. When she does it, I know she really liked it. She isn’t a phony.

Yes, from 1995-2001 (see article). And QVC took host names off the online program guide by 2002. They didn't return until 2019. Stalking has nothing to do with host names disappearing in 2024.

I have hardly been watching since the names were removed from the program guide. The program guide has the appearance that is could be taped programs, not live. Not a fan.
