The price is that high due to ( drum roll ) " Free Shipping "

In my area canolli's are $4 to $6 each .

That's pretty much the going rate for that size on Goldbelly, and shipping is extra.

I went to a few online establishments and that is about what they are charging to have it sent to your home. I question no price. Living in New York has made me not question high prices. You sort of get used to it.

Funny you should write this. I just ordered a dozen Cannoli from a bakery in Brooklyn that is near where my grandmother lived when I was a kid. I live in the city but just didn't feel like driving to Brooklyn and sit in at least an hour in traffic.

They are for Easter and they were $78 for the dozen and $22 for shipping. The craziest part is that I have several good Italian bakeries in my neighborhood and can easily get to Arthur Ave, but no bakery has cannoli like this place. Yes, I'm that person 😹

@Tori3569 - I lived in Brooklyn my whole life until a few years ago when I moved to Long Island. Would you mind telling me from which bakery you ordered the cannolis? I went to Brooklyn last week and had to stop in my favorite bakery in my old neighborhood - Dyker Heights. I can not find any bakery here that I really like.

Shipping perishable food is very expensive. There is no free shipping at qvc; the shipping price is built in.

@twinsister. Of course! It's on Knickerbocker Ave. They also have the best sfingi in the world. 🩷. While I love this place, Villabate Alba on 18th Ave is also great, but their shipping is too ridiculously high for even me.

@Tori3569 - Thanks! I have heard of Circo, but never went. When I was in Brooklyn, I did have pastry from Villabate Alba and they were very good. My favorite place is Tasty Pastry on 13th Ave, a few blocks from my old home. Now I want a cannoli!

I'd love to try some of the food but way to expensive for me. I live in the midwest so not used to those prices like the two coasts are. Did anyone try the meatballs?

@gaga. If they sell for up to $6/each locally and they are shipped dry ice by UPS Next Day Air tonyour home, that seems to be in line with the market price.

12 for $75. Is not a gold price.

thank goodness we have an excellent bakery in Philly! they make T-H-E Best cannoli's!!

and yes, i will drive close to an hour to buy them w/o hesitation!!

$6 each x one dozen IS $72.00

I have no issue with the price, $6 each is the same price as my local Italian Market.

However, Cannoli's need to be consumed fairly quickly or the shells will go soft!

With shipping distance and time (regardless of dry ice), I would question the ability to keep a nice crisp cannoli shell unless they are shipping them unfilled??

Little piece of information you might find interesting. "Cannoli" is already plural. The singular is "cannolo."

I realize it is common for people to hear or say cannolis.

That is a bit high. We have Rispoli’s in our area which has been in business since 1930s & family run. I haven’t found any better & we have a large Italian population; my husband is Italian & we live there part time. Rispoli is $4.00 cash or $4.16 CC per large pastry.
