Does "price drop" mean they are discontinuing?

There is a price drop on "Pur" powder foundation. I was wondering if this means QVC is going to discontinue the product or if it is just on sale? Thanks

I understand it to mean a temporary price drop. Might go back up the next or in a few days. Who knows, it sounds like it goes on sale for this item, but QVC doesn't use the word "sale".

I think the word "clearance" means the item will not be coming back.

@mormel20 - A "price drop" is just one of the many synonyms for "sale" used around QVC; as noted by @Foxxee, they use the term "clearance" to indicate items that will not or cannot be reordered (i.e., technically discontinued due to lack of product).

This is the brand I wear; I love it! I noticed it recently jumped in price from $29.50 to $32.00. For what it's worth, Amazon will have it on sale for what QVC's sale price is currently during their prime days this summer and fall--also Black Friday. I've also seen it on sale on HSN. I'm always tempted to stock up on it, but can't, because I don't wear foundation but half a dozen times a month, and it does has an expiration date since it has SPF15.

I think maybe the reason they play around with the prices is that when the price drops you think maybe I should buy now because the price could go up again. But really who knows what their strategy is.
