@LisaLisaD. Just another poor tactic for selling overpriced products. I rarely watch anything anymore on qvc. If I'm looking for something, I look online.

Most of us don't live in the Hamptons, shop on Madison Av or Rodeo Dr, and don't have millions of dollars to spend on whims.

Going back to the basics of quality, value, convenience might help.

Why exactly should words stop being used? Because some don't like hear them? Feel the words are overused?

Well I know a simple remedy for that, especially since I can't modify other's behavior, only my own.

I like checking out the brand name items for less at TJ Maxx, etc, Marshall’s and Home Goods. I love a good bargain! However I’ve found the quality at these stores has declined in recent years. The Q seems to have higher quality and better sales prices than their competitors. I only get bummed if my size is sold out, especially after reading how nice the item is. I really wanted Kerstin Lindquist Studio Park collection dress trousers that buyers said were truly high end. Many times I miss out on LOGO too, because they sell out so fast. Since I don’t have patience to wait on any waitlist, it’s my loss.

I predict a rise in the use of the term level up from them. Watch and see if I'm right. Eq,. Level up your wardrobe.

High End will stay. Q had research that Q customers wanted aspirational things.

At least they stopped using chichi fufu, a term they were using five and six years ago. Wish they would stop the old fashioned ladies who lunch. I'd also like them to stop their references to the country club.

Sooooo many items are described as "ALMOST LIKE" something or other. I don't care if something is "ALMOST LIKE" whatever. I just care what it IS.

I never hear a product described as "sick". Can't imagine a context in which they use it.

There are certain words to which buyers react favorably. QVC knows what they are so wisely uses them repeatedly.

@Kachina624 SK uses "sick" sometimes when presenting anything from clothes to cosmetics to electronics. I never hear it used in my daily life anywhere, lol.

@Kachina624 "Sick" is urban slang and means amazing, impressive, excellent.

Younger people liked to say it, years ago. I don't think anyone except Shawn still uses the term anymore. It shows her age instead of doing what she thinks it's doing.

It's like when Leah says, check her "Insta" for her Instagram account. No one has called it Insta for many years.

The worst one they use is STINKIN' CUTE. I hate that one. Makes me think of dirty diapers when I hear it.
