Yes, I am watching and she sounds awful. Not sure why someone couldn't have each picked up an hour of her shift today. Not sure where Alberti is, he hasn't been on for a couple weeks?

Los of people have to work through not feeling well. They need the money, can't afford or don't have sick days, etc. MB will be fine.

@KG60 Alberti was on vacation for couple weeks. He has a new home in Palm Springs. Then he was going to meet up with Kerstin for a Tech Expo in Las Vegas. He’ll be back on air January 11th for his 10th Anniversary.

Showing up for work while sick went out of favor a few years ago.

We don't need another hero. Beginning of the year: I'm sure plenty of days off are available. It's almost irresponsible, in my opinion.

I really, really doubt Mary Beth came in because she needs the paycheck. That analysis of the situation made me guffaw!

@They CallMe MRWILKES. She told Joel she doesn't "think" she's contagious. I'd want to know before I sat down 2 feet from her. She could have Covid and apparently wasn't tested.

I totally agree with previous posts about staying home. Even if it wasn't Covid, there are other respiratory illnesses that some people cannot recover from easily, or perhaps their loved ones. I would be very uncomfortable around someone that sounded so sick.

very inconsiderate to come to work that sick especially with in the middle of flu season and Covid still circulating everywhere! She doesn't need the $$ I'm sure qvc employees have sick days coming even if she did. use them !!!

I would say there was no one to come in for her, mary beth has always seemed to be a very nice lady.

QVC probably was scrambling around to try to find someone to come in for her. Mary Beth doesn't seem like the type to come in sick like that unless there was absoltuely no one to cover her shift.

QVC rewards its hosts very generously according to an article I read years ago as far as salaries, and timeoff, so I doubt very much it was that she didn't have any sick days to use!

Glad Pat was able to come in for her.....Where I work it is very discouraged to come in sick, work from home or take a sick or personal day.....

Im think in some cases, money can be a problem, but MB?

She has been on for over 30 years, and maybe as we older folks work habits are to go in no matter what.

In the older days, we didn't have sick leave and needed to support our family, but today, things have changed and they can't put the same restriction on workers.

She has her reasons, only she knows.
