I HAVE A GRIPE!!!!!

I know with all of the worldly problems, it is ridiculous for me to complain about something so trivial. However, here goes. Shawn just said on her show when presenting the Jill Martin humble Bella sherpa jacket she said she has 2 and wears them as robes because she doesn't have a robe. Well not long ago, when presenting the Barefoot dreams robe, she said her mother had bought her the robe and she absolutely loves it! So which is it? When hosts blatantly are being untrue, I feel they will lie about anything to make a sale. Ridiculous! Also, why is everything described as juicy as if you are going to eat it? Sorry, I needed to vent. My team lost, lol!

Every generation has slangs for things, cool, *itchin, da bomb, etc.

I don't believe a word the sales people say, they are just that...sales people.

That host uses that tactic often. I guess she (and some other hosts) think viewers don't pay attention to what is stated, don't remember anything or,are just plain stupid. We viewers are not stupid and don't like hosts that tell untrue stories!

@stellabystarlight I agree! I love Shawn, but she's the worst with this word and it's getting old. I don't like it.

They ALL do that - Kerstin always makes the comment that she has the product she’s selling in multiples - yet she doesn’t know how to work it when presenting it.

Least favorite host along with Alberti- Rachel & Jen. None of them are getting credits from me - do mot purchase any items they are promoting. They are like high school clickers - uggh!

For the most part, I think people appreciate others that appear to be themselves and genuine. When they try too hard or try to be what they feel is "hip" or current, it does not come across as genuine. It's better to just be who you are and let your real personality come through. Viewers are very smart and they want "real" and honesty! Also, using gimmicky words over and over again are just tiresome and not effective.

Can you imagine being a host? The demand to be cute, funny, and entertaining is over the top. Then add having to talk about most of the products aired. I'd be bored to tears and who knows what I'd say.

the demand is to describe an item, most of the hosts fail to do their job. it isn't rocket science, its salemanship

They are all paid professional liars. It goes with the territory when you are a salesperson.

They clearly don't think anyone is going to remember a single thing they said in the past. I take it all with a grain of salt. Their opinions about a product mean nothing to me.

I agree with you. I can no longer watch Shawn. I was channel surfing and she was selling a LOGO sweater and using her usual sales schtick "I like this sweater even though I don't usually like the color purple". She mentions everything she doesn't use or like but she will make the exception for that particular product.
