Backorders

I ordered something today & the order went through ok, but when I just saw the order - it's on backorder. My experience with backorders is I never receive it. It just sits there forever & then one day it says "no longer available."

I don't know about others, but I have never received a backordered item.

I have never received a Backordered item either. Once that happens, I cancel the order altogether. I keep Waitlisted orders because those do come through sometimes.

I used my $15.00 off coupon. I guess that's gone. I wish it had said it was sold out or backordered instead of acting like it went through ok.

Me either. QVC promotes the sales and then when you check out, the item is on backorder. Then you wait and wait to end up being cancelled. What a loss and waste of time. I have never received any of items that, after purchasing, the system list them in backorder.

Actually, I've received every item that has entered "Backorder" status over the past couple of years. This category indicates that QVC has inventory in stock that hasn't been handled/packed yet or inventory is on its way but has not arrived at a warehouse. This isn't like the "Waitlist" status, which means they hope to have more inventory someday or hope to order more someday.

Fingers crossed that you get your order soon!

Great! Thank you so much for the information. That gives me hope that I may receive my order if it arrives to the warehouse even after QVC had cancelled it. Thanks again and cross fingers.

@Haoo - Just to clarify: If your order has been canceled, it won't be reinstated; you would need to order again if the item is still available. But if your order status is "Backorder," you still have a chance of receiving the item. Good luck!

i don't order that much. I don't think I have got a backorder. I currently have a waitlist though. It's a pretty ring, so I hope I get it. One of those situations where every size is on waitlist!
