Pant Lengths

Hey, QVC! What is going on with longer pant lengths??? I am a petite and anything longer than 27 inches on me has to go to the tailor!! If people think that you need to lengthen pants, then they need to not order petites, but order regulars instead. I do not enjoy paying an exorbitant amount for a pair of pants that I have to look forward to sending to the tailor right out of the package!

Depends on the type of pant. Straight leg or leggings I need 25 or 26. For full cut pants or boot leg 28 or 29 with heels works for me at 5'. It depends on how long your legs are.

I've always loved Susan Graver's petite pants - they fit me perfectly. Recently though they've been too long. I took the last pair to the tailor to be shortened - it was going to be 6 weeks before I'd get them back plus I had to put down a $10 deposit. I can't imagine what the hemming will costl. No more "too long" pants for me.

I'm also 5' 9" and appreciate the long lengths. Guess they need to sell in different lengths for everyone.

QVC's petite clothing is not sized correctly.

A person who is average or tall should not be able to wear petite sizes. The rise, crotch area, should be way too short to fit them.

I suggest petite shoppers try Appleseed's clothing. They sell genuine petite length pants, plus they also sell extra short petite pants for those under 5'.

Sign up for their e-mail and join their club. They send gift certificates free throughout the year by e-mail and US mail.

You also can earn points to cash in for spending on their site. I often get clothing for really low prices when it is on sale, using my points and gift certificates.

Just this week, I got $50 off of my order. My clothing was almost free.

Shop smart and stop paying to shorten pants. Go elsewhere.

I'm 5-2 and some ankle and crop pants fit like regular-length pants on me. So I look at those types of pants and check inseams.

I'm 5'4" and would love to see more 30" inseams. 28 works okay for summer with sandals, but not for cooler months with shoes/ boots.

Sounds like some people need to learn to use a needle and thread. Hemming pants is so simple, no way would I PAY someone to do it.

I agree with you.

I am 5'3 3/4". I just received two pair of Susan Graver wide leg pants (petite) and they are too long! I need 27" length and am disappointed I also cannot wear these as is. I can't wear heels which would solve the problem quite easily

I realize we need different lengths but do think for many, the 27" length would be just right.

I have suggested this before but I am putting this out again. It would be a lot easier to find your correct inseam if you could search by inseam length.

Most petite insems are too long for me. I'd like 28" but most petites now are 29" or 30".

I mostly wear jeans so hemming without a machine doesn't look right. LLBean has some nice denim ankle pants with a 28" length in the regular. The proportions are good and I've purchased a few.

I think the real point here is to check the details on every inseam. What's called Petite isn't consistent so it's up to us to check each item to avoid disappointment or alterations. Same goes for other length categories. Like @SilleeMee , I often check out the ankle length regular length items and can wear a lot of those. Your overall height isn't the only factor to consider.

Some people have terrible arthritis or some other problem with using their hands, like I do. I just can't do it any more.

I just wish they would give the length. I don't care what size the model is, just tell me the length, PLEASE i need a 29 and I'm 5'1, alway have to look on my phone to see the length of the pants. By that time they go to another item.

I am 5'8" but I have short legs! Very hard to find pants that fit well. 29" has been my limit.
However, I ordered 3 pair of 29" D&C pants that were really almost 32"! Lots of people complained on the reviews even showing pictures of the measurements!

I can wear Quacker SHORT pants but it is hard to find them anymore. I love their corduroy pants in short. I have 5 pairs!!
I do see some models and hosts with their pants dragging ground even in heels. I don't wear heels and I can't wear pants dragging the ground as I would trip. I'm 79 years old and can't take the chance.

I do wish other brands would just once in a while offer "SHORT" size.

Interesting @Gkhm that there are such different responses to your request for lengths.

Every body is different. and all the responses reflect that.

I am only 5'3" and never wear petites. I have super long legs and a mutant torso.

Guess you will have to shop other retailers to get exactly what you need.
