New Shipping Plan

I have now had my first experience with the Q"s new shipping plan and I'm not happy! I ordered the Clarks Sandal TSV, instead of the $3.00 under $100 shipping I was charged $5.00 shipping that won't be refunded and $7.95 return shipping for a total of $11.95 to see if the sandals would work for me when wide width usuallly works for me.

I can tell you that I will not be taking a chance again on shoes, clothes or anything larger than low priced jewelry. I think QVC is making a big mistake in not refunding the initial shipping. I think they will find at least me ordering less!

I ordered two D&Co denim jackets....I have three in another style so I figured the fit would be the same....it was not...had to return...cost me three dollars each to get them here...and six ninety five to send them back....for a grand total of twelve dollars and ninety five cents...

no chance for exchanging for size....as I bought the 3x...it would help if sizing was consistent....I, too , will be cutting back in my orders.....

So, based on the previous posts, that makes at least $11 that will not be passed along to people who rarely return things. That ultimately translates to lower costs.

I wish that were the case. But, unfortunately l think the savings will be passed right along to the Q's profit-margin. Also, according to other threads, prices on many items were raised considerably on the same day the shipping rates were lowered to $3.00.

If an item is exchanged there should be no charge for the original shipping and they should maybe return the original shipping for so many returns per quarter or per year and that wouldn't punish those who are not serial returners.

You can buy Clarks and every other brand Q sells for a lot less money and free shipping on any number of websites. Shoebuy and OnlineShoes are my favs. They always have promotion codes too.

or higher profits for Q.

The price on a number of products went up with the shipping change.

I like to watch the shoe presentations on QVC, but then I do a search elsewhere and usually get lower pricing and free shipping…..both ways. (And, and likely a mrrebates participant!)

QVC's New Shipping Plan for Alaska

QVC is alienating their Alaska customers big time with their new shipping plan rates. Items that they charge customers in the lower 48 $3.00 to ship they are charging us in Alaska anywhere from $6.97 to $9.97 and up. They have also done away with the half price shipping on one item if you buy two. Today I came close to purchasing an SG top but instead of $3.00 to ship they are charging $9.97 for an item that weighs 9 ounces. This is insane and has definitely curtailed my shopping with the Q. If you live in the lower 48 good for you but those of us in Alaska are footing the bill for your cheaper rates. I will be curtailing my shopping with the Q in the future and will only make purchases that are free shipping or that I cannot find someplace else. Way to go QVC...not!

It's a shame that the customers in Alaska and Hawaii are being treated this way. I guess the Q is basically telling you ""we don't want your business.""

Ocean...are those costs up from what you were charged before...or is it they have stayed the same while the rest of us have lower shipping...

I know the cost of the clothing and jewelry has gone up....I am sure to offset the lower shipping for us...

Circles...the shipping rate has gone up, the price on clothing has definitely gone up and I think an additional mistake they are making now is doing away with the 1/2 price shipping when you purchase multiples. I took advantage of that on several kitchen items last Christmas for gifts. The person/persons who came up with this new shipping plan ought to be fired or at least relocated to Alaska so they would know how it feels to be treated like second class citizens.

Handygal...that is the impression that I got. I wish their Alaska and Hawaii customers would flood them with their complaints.

And fewer sales for QVC......as people either shop locally with no "try on fee" as I like to call the new Q shipping policy.....or with other retailers with lower BASE prices and real deals on shipping...still making them less what QVC charges ...!

Yep Oceana 49---that is a big complaint for me too...if you like something and order multiples no more half price shipping on the second item even though they put them in the same package....

Inconsistent sizing, their "try on fee", and higher prices.....I used to find some cute things as reasonable prices but I'm not taking a chance any more......there was a D&C top that I really like to wear with jeans, so I re-ordered same top, same size in a different color---When I received it, not only was the sizing off, but the pile on the terry sweatshirt was stiff and all matted down, it looked like someone had washed it and used too much soap...it looked like a return...the first one the pile was pliable and it was very soft....but according to QVC, they say they never ship out returns--- despite stories of receiving makeup on clothes, and things in coat pockets....Thankfully this was before the new policy, but I got so tired of returning clothes....the quality has gone down hill too.....Is there any reason why customers would want to shop at QVC now?????

I used to buy a lot and had to return a lot. It was almost always shoes not fitting or clothes not fitting. I thought it was very expensive to just try on something but was willing to pay, b/c item would do me no good sitting in my closet. Since I really thought that was high then, I'm not taking any chances now with being charged MORE to get a correct fit. I'll buy shoe brands that I know fit and clothes that at least to be the correct sizing. In the Q's wish to make even more money off of me, b/c of their poor quality control, they will be losing a wad of money.

There is no incentive to buy several items at once in a single order. I recently placed four separate consecutive orders because I figured it would make possible returns easier since they would have separate packing slips. It actually cost QVC more because they needed four different labels, packing slips, and mailing bags.

I've been about a 20 year customer... I just got hit for $9.95 to return a paper thin dress. I am certainly going to purchase much less in the clothing line, and definitely NO shoes! Just too costly to try on items. This may be the downfall of QVC.
