Have you had luck with ”as is “ ?

I have always been tempted especially if it's an item I missed out on and do want and it pops up "as is ". But hesitant that the item is a return and damaged then will have to go ahead and return .

@Kitty Galore Yes! I bought some Valerie Parr Hill items using "As Is." I also have purchased some Bethlehem Lights and Temp-tations. All have been fine. You can return the item as long as it doesn't state the item can't be returned.

I buy a lot of "as is" never had a problem. I think most are returns and they do let you return unless it's stated -- I check before ordering.

I've gotten lots of Valerie Parr Hill pieces

I have purchased at least 10 clothing items over the past few years and have never had a problem. Only 1 item did not fit and I returned it. Great savings!!

I ordered some " as is" bedding for a great price.

It was perfect, not used, still in the original packaging too.

I think maybe it was just an over stock item.

I ordered shoes once. They arrived in the original shoe box with unwrinkled tissue paper and plastic stays in the toe. They were unworn, not tried on and not damaged.

I would not hesitate to buy as is items. It seems some posters got as is items when they were expecting new items occasionally. Go figure.

@Kitty Galore I love "as is." This year I scored 2 Anybody split back tanks and a sleeveless jumpsuit, a Kim Gravel French terry top, a Joan Rivers long sleeve tee, and 2 pieces from the Idina Menzel line. All were perfect. Years ago I received a LOGO long cardigan than had a place where it was starting to unravel. I returned it the same as anything else that is defective.

The blowout clearance items of course cannot be returned unless they are defective. But "as is" isn't the same as blowout clearance so you should be fine.

@Kitty Galore @skatting44 - That isn't correct. If the item is damaged or defective, you can still return it. You're not expected to accept that.

To answer the original question: I've ordered many things from "As Is" over the years and had very good luck. Lots of bargains.

Yes I've bought "as is" a number of times and QVC has always issued a full refund if the item is defective. That has happened a few times. I call first, and they note my account. Most of the time though the items have been fine.

I love "as is, " in clothing, especially if I know the line and how it fits. I have bought a few decor items, but mostly clothes. Yes, as someone else noted, you can return " as is" items unless the item is designated as unable to be returned. I have had only one negative "as is" experience, and that was several years ago. So, I am a fan.

@Kitty Galore - I've had success with all the As Is products I've ordered over the years. Yes - if the item is damaged or defective, you certainly can return it. Try it - you'll find some great buys!

I've bought some Rhonda Sheer bras "as is'. I think it stated it could have been the ones displayed on air. They were fine, I just washed them before I wore them.

I have had wonderful luck with "as is" products!!

I've purchased several handbags, all looking brand new out of the box.Tops, pants and coats - all have been fine, "first quality", no problem at all. I have not received anything that was damaged.

"As is" has allowed me to purchase many items I would not have been able to otherwise.
The majority of my purchases are "as is" and lunch time specials now.

Also have found that , you have to double check to see if they really reimbuse the shipping on defective returns or free shiiping on an exchange.

Have found that they make frequent mistakes .

I have ordered clothes and shoes as is and they were all in great condition.

I also have ordered the battery operated can opener as is and it had a few scratches but works well.
