Question about Shipping & Handling

Has it ever been explained why, oh, why QVC charges S&H on the TSV? Couldn't that one item at least be free shipping each day? Bet you anything, they'd have more sales of it that would surpass the amount of S&H they don't want to incur.

The TSV is merchandise they sell just like any other, so why not? They'd lose millions in revenue if they gave free shipping on every TSV. It's a matter of simple economics.

They've had a few free shipping days and weekends lately which many had been asking for, so there's that. Free shipping on TSVs is probably not necessary to drive sales because it's clear they are bringing in smaller quantities.

@Kachina624 That as well as the free shipping people almost all make their profits from something other than shipping merchandise. By the way - DH was an economics major with all that imlies, and I never thought econ was all that simple, but like it or not, companies that don't find their way to profits in the econmic maze disappear. I don't have enough fingers on which to count all the chains I've seen disappear.

Wonder if the shoppers who want free shipping all the time would be happy to keep shopping if QVC gave up all the TV shows, but could still sell enough without extra fees to avoid total bankruptcy?

I agree @snipsnapsnur They make more than enough money on shipping. I also think they should give free shipping on clearance items.

I don't want free shipping all the time. I rarely purchase anything from QVC. I was just wondering. Even if it were free S/H, that wouldn't make me purchase.
