New hosts-a change.

I have noticed that many are commenting on how the new hosts are quite different in their presentations from other hosts. Perhaps the heads of QVC are taking notice of how people are complaining about frantic antics of the other hosts. Perhaps they are trying a new tact.

If so, then perhaps leadership, such as it is, should permit experienced hosts to revert to their own presentation style, the one many of them employed before they seemingly got the 'ramp up the faux enthusiasm' memo...

The new hosts just haven't gotten wound up yet. The frantic activity is the result of qvc coaching; they all started off calm. Don't Worry, the new ones will soon be ruined too.

Great point....maybe Q decided not to implement changes TOO fast with the other long time hosts ( calming them down, cutting the infantile, frantic presentations, etc)...

It'd be too much of a shock all at once to Q's remaining customers.

I like the way the new ones present, but like K said...I fear it won't last. They just haven't been infected yet. There's a latency period.

IMHO, some have never changed to the manic mode...MBR, Jayne, Pat, Amy S... prior Dan & Carolyn. And I think Shawn is the exact same as the day she started...like her or not!

Some have drastically changed....esp Sandra B. I used to watch her sweet, calm, demeanor at night....now she is so wound, interrupts constantly and is overbearing w/ vendors and guests.

Some change w/ then are paired....I find Kirsten and Rachael very good to watch alone, but pair them with Alberti and it goes ballistic!!

I can watch Courtney alone, but pair her w/ her mom, BFF and it is all over.

I noticed how it was mentioned that the older hosts don’t resort to that behavior perhaps they want to retain their older customers and the younger hosts are meant to attract younger viewers. Just a thought.

I can take some of the new attitudes on the experienced hosts but there are some of the new ones that I just cannot take at all. They have very limited professionalism...or nearly none. There was one on this week, I saw her late at night, the only thing that looked worse than her hair and shoes were her gawdy nails. I turned QVC off.

I have not been impressed with any of the newer hosts who have generally presented on QVC2.They have all had ample time to warm up to the job.....and i don't think any of them really improved.. I wonder how much money QVC has lost from impulse buyers who kept the channel on because the hosts were respectful, about the product and

soft sell.

Interesting thought @Allthingsgirly67

It seems the calm hosts I like are on during the day....maybe long time customers are home watching.,

And the manic are on more at night....when the newer/younger may be tuning in after work.

QVC PTB must divide them up by what age would be more apt to be watching....and what kind of presentations would appeal to that sector of the audience.

Unfortunately, I still work, LOL

So I get the overly excited on at night when I may watch,

I rarely do, unless I get lucky and find the more professional hosts on later.

I forgot to add Leah in my prev post as someone who hasn't gone off the charts.

When she or MBR, Jayne, Pat etc happen to get a later show....I'll watch. Otherwise, I just don't watch anymore.

@Kachina624 I think you are correct. QVC sent me a survey awhile back asking me what prompted me to watch. I answered that I don't watch, I don't care for the frantic salepitch of the hosts. I often check the "items recently on air" but I'm long past the fake sales pitch routine.

I usually like new hosts more when they first start, maybe it is the show producers urging them to behave so frantically later. That said, I like the hosts who have grown comfortable in the job and who don't act like the energizer bunny.

Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one who thought like that. Alone the hosts do great, but when they combine wine and two hosts, look out, it goes off the rails.

If you mean newest hosts, I don’t enjoy them. I do enjoy newer hosts, Stacey, Steve & Vanessa
