Tornado Warning?

Wow, in the middle of Amy's show there was a tornado warning. She left, said "I hope we are back on air soon" then a rerun of David's show came on.

Hope everyone is okay. That seems kind of scary.

I've been watching QVC since 1986 and never seen them go off air for a Tornado. Anyone else?

I live where we only have earthquakes, never a warning. Be safe everyone in that area.

Thank you. I have it on, but frankly I wasn't paying a lot of attention to it until I noticed David and "previously recorded."

They are very common where I live in the spring and sometimes fall but can occur in any month.

It means a specific area is being warned to the immediate possibility of a tornado--from radar or public observation. Scares the soup out of me still.

Yes. I'm under a similar tornado warning, in the DC Metro area.

I had changed the channel because 2 hours of Logo is way too much for me but I decided to go back to check in and there was David Venable on a previously recorded show.

Please everyone take precautions and stay safe. QVC did the responsible thing to keep everyone out of harm's way.

@cjm61 We were under one in No. Va. sky got dark and creepy, had a brief thunderstorm and it's cleared out. All good now. I'm sure some people had really bad storms. We got lucky. Hopefully everyone who had this storm came through it safely. Prior to the warning the government shut down 2 hours early.

I live in earthquake country now, San Francisco Bay Area. I have been through a couple of truly scary quakes! However, until I graduated from college and relocated I lived in Missouri (Kansas City), Wichita and Great Bend, Kansas, and finally, Arkansas. It seems there was ALWAYS a tornado warning on the radio! Terrible thunder, lightning and hailstorms, too. A town in Arkansas where my brother lived was destroyed by a tornado in the 90s. They lost their high school!

I was at school in Memphis when we had a tornado warning, the first for me when anyone had to actually take shelter. It was TERRIFYING! Girls huddled in the basement by flashlight, the nuns listening to weather reports on short-wave radio. Fortunately, it passed over us, but I have never forgotten how scary a tornado warning is.

Sending comforting thoughts to the brave souls at the Q. This was a first!

@Caaareful Shopper I am in MD and a terrible, awful storm is just finishing.

The weather forecasters are on and the words tornado and derecho are popping up.

Area airports are down and accepting no incoming flights so air traffic will be awful.

I am guessing this mess is into the Philadelphia area where the Q is too.

This happened on QVC when Julia C was hosting a few months ago. She didnt say what was happening just the show stopped an they aired a recorded show. There was a tornado that touched down 45 mintues away from me. It is very scary.

@Mersha Scary! I'm near Old Town Alexandria. The warnings are scary. They're saying it's a Level 4 (out of 5) risk for sever storm. That's rare for this area.

@Teddixat @cjm61 @catwoman48 - I'm in California earthquake country too. There's never a warning here - well except for when I had a cat. He'd start acting weird, then run for under the bed. Sure enough a few seconds later, we'd have a shaker. Better than any government warning! LOL

I hope everything is okay. I stepped out of my living room for a few minutes talking on the phone and when I came back in David was on, so I was wondering where the LOGO show went. I am glad to see they are taking the warnings seriously. My family's house was hit by a tornado when I was home from college one weekend. Very scary and we were all okay, but it took the roof off the corner of our house over my parents' bedroom. A little lower and it would have caused a lot of damage.

Oh yeah- I live about 5 miles from the studio and we had a tornado warning. They did just cancel the warning, so hopefully programming will get back to normal.

We are in for a stormy night...

We are ending in my part of Maryland and it looks like it is moving east.

Hopefully, you will ending there and things will calm down. I fear we are going to see extensive damage from this one.
