Never had this happen

On July 22,my top(A566732) SHIPPED.As of today,no top.I called CS,and they were very nice about this.They asked if I wanted to cancel, as there was no movement since Thurs.I said yes,cancel.I posted awhile back that I sent a card in the mail with money in it.Also as today,they never got it.What in the world is going on with the postal service?Super frustrating!

I would never send money through the mail, venmo would be a better way to send money, they may have a way of telling if money is in an envelope.

I use the Cash App to send money it's easy and the recipient receives it within seconds.

@Luvsmyfam There are a number of cash apps and I'm sure someone will help you with that. Sending cash in the mail is almost a guarantee that it will get stolen.

I've used Zelle for years. It's great.

@Love my grandkids Can you tell me what Zelle is?Is this a app?I must be behind in times.My dear sweet mom,was a postmaster for 25 yrs.She said back in the day,this sorta thing hardly happened

@Luvsmyfam Just download the Cash App... now I only use it within my immediate family for occasions such as Birthdays or at Christmas... the money goes directly into the persons bank account so you would need that information ..once you download the app you will see the wording Bank Tranfers then just follow the prompts...

@Luvsmyfam I see you got the info about Cash App. Zelle is another system to transfer money.

Honestly it's been known for years that sending cash in the mail is a recipe for disaster.

I use venmo, just download to your phone. Very easy and at least venmo I know is safe...never had a issue using for a few years.

@Luvsmyfam Different time - lots of different attitudes about honesty all across our country and the rest of the world.

Thieves go for the easy, big targets online and in person. Mail is definitely one.

Last month at least 3 checks sent to workers disappeared and to date have not ever surfaced. One of them was mine. All 3 were mailed from the Washington DC post office on K Street and sent to our town here in PA. The checks were re-written and Fed-exed to each of us. Very upsetting not be able to rely on the post office.

Years ago I would cringe when I found out that my mom sent cash (after the fact) to her grandkids for their birthdays. Luckily, she would always get a phone call from the recipient acknowledging the gift, took awhile to convince her to quit doing that, better safe than sorry.

I know you said you only send to immediate family, but who would give you their bank information? I wouldn't. Besides, if I am sending money or a gift I want it to be a surprise, not calling them to get their bank information. That's just me.

@Luvsmyfam My husband never got his fathers day card..there was a gift card inside. A friend sent her son a birthday card with a check in MARCH, so far the card has not been received and the check has not been cashed.

@SamBrown is correct. You do not need the recipient's bank info, all you need is their phone number or their Cash App ID. They would of course have to have the app set up on their phone. Cash App and Venmo work the same. I never send cash through the mail. I use either Zelle, Cash App or Apple Cash. Apple Cash is my and most of my recipients' preferred method.
