Lisa Marie...what type of bariatric surgery

I know this has been talked about.....over and over. But my question that I have been unable to find..What type of bariatric surgery did Lisa Marie have?

There are many different types...I had the roux-en-Y....but there are others

Such as gastric sleeve, gastric band, duodenal switch??

And some are done by laparoscopy

Mine was open with the roux-en-y and my surgeon stated that many patients often develop gallstones after so he removed my gallbladder (which actually was good...it showed chronic inflammation)

OMG what a horror show to go through to lose weight. She was never that heavy to need this drastic surgery.

Wow. I googled this procedure as I know nothing about it. It sounds like it is for extremely obese patients and a complicated surgery. Lisa Marie never looked morbidly obese to me. Head scratcher.

That's what I thought too and am still scratching my head as to why she'd have this surgery. In all pics I've seen her in on the Red Carpet and events she looks perfectly fine and not heavy at all. The tabloid pic shows her wearing baggy clothes and prob like I and all of us look out & about not made up. I feel she felt pressure to be stick-thin as many in Hollywood do. Very sad.

Maybe she was afraid she would have more issues down the road like Elvis did with his weight. Sad is all I can say.

It seems to me that celebrities get certain surgeries OK'd that average people do not. Personally I wouldn't want it on my resume that my procedure on someone was the one that killed them.

This report about Lisa Marie truly has sickened and saddened me.

I wanted her to have the gift of a long life that her beloved Dad didn't get.

I can't remember which thread it was, but it might have been about plastic surgery. Someone said they thought the uber wealthy and celebrities got the best healthcare.

I said that isn't necessarily true, that sometimes they get the very worst. We all know many, many examples of this. Look at all of the unrecognizable faces in Hollywood.

Lisa Marie got some very bad medical advice and became one of those celebrities who became a statistic because a surgeon didn't say no.
