Any problems with QVC Gift Card Promotion?

Now through end of day eastern tomorrow Sunday 7/16 is a promo of $20 off each $100 gift card purchase.

I checked it out and the discount is given immediately, i.e. I put in $100 and $80 was due.

Has anyone either done this promotion in the past and / or used a QVC gift card?

I seem to remember issues with the gift card as it is provided by a 3rd party.

I never bought one, but I have been given several. I never had a problem spending it.

It sounds like a great deal. Can we buy them and use them ourselves? That sounds like a better deal!

No problems for me. I've bought these before and always used them for myself. I see it as a chance to get 20% off my purchases.

This time around, I bought one $100 card for $80, used it and bought another one that is still unused

@rockygems123 I purchased two gift cards during the promotion. I received one card in the mail but not the 2nd one. I called Cash Star and they told me to call today if I had not received the 2nd one. I talked to their customer service and was told the gift card I received was invalid. They are having a problem with the gift cards. Then he said he'd cancel the 2nd one. I was transferred to someone else who said they are having a big problem with the cards. Old cards were being mailed out. He told me I might not be able to get the promotion value if the other guy cancelled the card. He'll get back to me. I told him I expect QVC to honor their promotion. We'll see what happens.

I got 2 e cards. 175 for me and an actual plastic gift card for a co workers birthday gift. Not one problem using the e gift cards. I may end up using this actual card, and buy her a regular Q gift card at our large supermarket. I would hate to give this to my coworker, to find out it had a problem redeeming or being invalid. I saved $40 on $200.

The actual plastic card took about 12-15 days to arrive, and the envelope said address unknown. I've lived at this address for 30+ years. So now I'm a little hesitant to give the $25 one away. The e gift cards arrived within minutes of purchase. I will purchase on this promotion if offered again, but only in e gift cards.

Edited to add: I added this plastic card to my account and it is valid. But better safe than sorry. Glad it worked. I did have to scratch the hidden code, so I will buy my coworker another gift card. Glad I didn't have to find out that I gave her a bad gift card.
