I wish the Q hosts would take a lesson from Amy Morrison

It seems that HSN host, Amy Morrison always looks her very best whether she's wearing her own clothing or HSN clothing. Appearance matters to me in how I personally present myself, so maybe I'm a little hyper-sensitive, but I do love to watch Amy to see what she's wearing and I rarely watch the Q for more than a few minutes. I'm tired of too tight pants and jeans, pajamas, 3 tops at a time that don't match etc. jmo

HSN's Amy Morrison does always look well put together and takes pride in her appearance. Unlike our QVC beauty and fashion expert, Amy even takes pride in the arrangement of her hair and does not have hair falling in front of her face.

So, yes, I agree with you.

Amy is just one of the many ways HSN outdoes the Q. All of the hosts and vendors dress professionally, and the presentations are way better. No foolishness, no talking over each other, personal stories are kept to a minimum, sales are better. The list goes on and on.

I only order from HSN once in awhile. I have to admit that Amy M. always has a neat appearance, clean looking hair, and no hair hanging in her eyes.

I really like Amy. She's one heck of a salesperson. She's bubbly and engaging without being loud and annoying. And she always seems prepared and knowledgeable about what she presents.

Funny how we all see things differently. I find hsn does not even come close to QVC. I find they all give you the real hard sell. They talk very fast and really push the products. They do not come across as professional as most of the hosts on QVC. Something about their channel feels very second rate.

@Janey2 Completely disagree with everything you mentioned. 5 or more years ago I might have agreed with you but IMO HSN has improved but QVC has gone way downhill. HSN focuses on the products and I'm not sure what you mean by the "hard sell." And the hosts on QVC are "professional"??!!!

Anyway, both channels have a limited life so we'll see what happens.

I never watch HSN so I can't comment on anything about it or the hosts. But why is it necessary to denigrate and insult QVC hosts in order to compliment Amy Morrison?

ITA with @kaydee50 . I have always been a fan of HSN and did watch and buy from both channels for aeons. I did always like HSN better. I have never received any perks from the Q but have and still do receive 20% off coupons from HSN. Sale prices are way better and I have never seen a host of theirs do a "hard" sell. I enjoy more of the HSN hosts than on here.

To me Amy is too fake looking. IMO she wears way too much makeup. Pretty lady but...that's just me. I LOVE makeup but a little goes a long way.

Agreed! I always think of the Q as the older and more conservative channel, while their Southern neighbor was always the sassy, looser and more fun option. HSN doesn't spend a lot of time selling Bibles and inspirational gifts, and their clothing and jewelry offerings are more contemporary and hip.
That said, I buy from both channels!

It's the products that drive me away from HSN. Too many beauty products and long, boring vitamin presentations. With a few exceptions, the clothing and accessories look really cheaply made, poor fabrics, etc., too many electronics.

In other words, there's not much there I want to buy.

Since the hosts on the Q have become so gregarious, I have watched HSN more than I ever have. Unlike the Q, I have never had to turn off b/c the host was so annoying. Amy Morrison always looks good, as you would hope everyone would working on TV. I've not noticed any of the hosts looking like they just fell out of bed.

However, I prefer all fashion, beauty, handbags, shoes, almost everything at the Q. They're very different. I will always check them out to see what they have of interest.

I, too think Amy Morrison always looks good. She makes the effort. Sometimes she is a little hyper, but she is a good salesperson. I don't really watch HSN, but I do check in to see what is going on and have noticed that Marla Wynn has some nice clothes going on there. May have to watch that line of clothing. More and more, the QVC hosts are getting difficult to watch and I enjoy watching the Q for those of you who will say "you can mute the program."

They just consistently talk over the vendor, cut them off mid-sentence, change the subject. When you the viewer are paying attention to the vendor describe their product and especially when you are interested in that product, it is annoying. Unfortunately, the customer is not of consequence anymore.

I’m so bored with the QVC presentations. I may start to watch HSN now. I also find that there’s recovered we vendors on QVC that I like. I do like Sports Savvy. Some of D&C although their recent items have lost their magic fir me. I just ordered the first items from Isaac in a long time. I used to be a regular purchaser of his but his items have become the same old. (PIMA shirts). I bought two darling zip up sweatshirts and matching tank tops. The only way I knew about the matching floral tank tops was because another customer spotted them. No mention was ever made during the presentations of either the sweatshirts or the tanks. To me this speaks volumes about how little even Isaac knows about his line now and how little QVC briefs the hosts.
