So tired of the hosts, just as the vendors are mid-stream in a comment about their product, getting all beside themselves needing to proclaim as if it was the end of the world, "Sorry to interrupt you but I just need to tell you that we are down to 1,600 in the red, 1,800 in the blue, 1,400 in the black and 1,500 in the yellow". Geez Louise! It's that urgent that it can't wait until the vendor finishes their sentence?

It's ridiculous, pointless and annoying and further proof they think we're all morons, as though this is creating a sense of urgency... Unfortunately, they're all doing it, both here and on other shopping channels. Some ditz must've put together a list of 'host best practices' and this must've been on it...

Shannon Smith on HSN is famous for shouting: "Sorry to interrupt Wolfgang, but we only have 100 left for the entire country, that's 2 per state folks!" (Thanks for the lesson Shannon.) Others do something similar on Q too.

I can see them in the warehouse: these two are for New Mexico, these two are for Michigan, I have the Rhode Island two here, etc, etc.

I have never understood the rush to take sold out options off the stage. As obnoxious as it is, I guess I can see not continuing to discuss or describe a sold out item, because 'time is money', although you'd think a few seconds to allow someone to finish a sentence wouldn't be so critical. But if one of several options sells out, it's like they have a hissy fit to get it off the stage... I really wonder why that is. I'm sure at one time there might have been a valid reason, and would just like to know what it was or is.

For me, it's about the absolute rudeness of interrupting or over-talking that is offensive. I don't do well with stuff like that because I believe in manners and common courtesy.

That said, however, it seems to be 'a thing' now - no more politeness or manners. No more common courtesy. Just talking over people with nary a thought, or care apparently, about it being rude. It's in tv shopping and talk shows - any scenario where there is more than one person, and talking, involved.

It is one of the things that will make me leave a show, whether it's tv shopping or a talk show. It's not even that it is just here and there. It has become VERY prevalent.

The kitchen shows are the worst at this. It's flat out offensive! It's one of the reason I quit watching the kitchen shows. When the host wasn't giving how many were left in each color, he's in the back ground making sniff/snort noises. Vendors need to be able to give needed information to customers. Why can't hosts let them?
