Pants with tuck down the front

I saw pants on the Amy and Alberti show last evening that looked great and the price was $39. They were Logo. Amy looked great in them, not surprising. I almost ordered but when I saw that tuck down the front I stopped. My mother and aunts used to wear that type years ago. Not for me. Do you like and wear them?

I prefer pants w/o the center seams down the front pant legs. I remember how popular that style was years ago. That center seam is called a 'traveler's crease' b/c it helps keep pants looking crisp while packed w/o the need to iron.

I do not wear or own any pants with that tuck sewn down the front. I do not like any pants with the stripe thingie down the side either.

They are not for me.

I don't mind a dress pant or trouser with a center crease down the front leg. If done correctly, it looks polished and tailored looking which is my style. It's also elongating. I iron a crease into my dressier pants that don't have a permanent crease.

Those pants with the middle seams down the front were always cheap old lady pants.

You could get "beat up" for wearing them at one time.

Yes - quite a few pairs from various places. I like them.

SG had a some lustra knit with a pin tuck a few years ago. I had a couple of pairs now discarded when I lost weight.

I bought some similar to the lustra knit from Blair ... several colors.

I know there are a bunch of them in the closet - just can't recall now what brands.

If they are made right they look fine. Nice for dressier occasions maybe, not something I would wear often. As a matter of fact I don't believe I own any like it. I never cared for the fake creases people would iron into their pants.

If the fabric holds a crease, my pants are creased.

I even iron creases down the front of my jeans!

@ALRATIBA I'm sure yours look nice but some people don't know how to crease their pants (I'm one of them). Just don't care for the look on me mostly.

If it's a crease pressed from the waist to the hem down each pant leg..yes, mostly on slacks. To me, a sharp crease is very classy.

I'd never wear sewn in creases. Ugh! Also, when that thread starts coming out, it's almost impossible to sew it again straight.

So to recap, you are not fond of these pants, right?

My mom and aunts wore something like these called stretch pants with those stirrup thingies attached to the bottom. They were all the rage back then!

What goes around comes around in fashion, but these probably should stay in moth balls.

These can look good on the right person....perhaps a tall or very short woman who wears a size 2.

I wore pants/jeans with the front pleats when they were popular a few decades ago. But I was young and very very fit then.

I won't wear pants with front seams, pleats, tucks, or whatever. I don't think they look good on me. Front seams bug me. I also don't need anything that makes my tummy look full.

Speaking of tucks....I think when a model or host tucks part of the shirt or top they have on into their pants , it makes them look shorter and/.or fatter......not flattering on anyone.
